Turning into a puddle

OK, day 4 of 200mg Doxyi and it's going great but today I've had the sinus headache all day and I'm sweating buckets and peeing for England. I also seem to be a bit bloated. I know the weather has warmed up but by heck, if it's like this now what happens when summer finally gets here?

I'm taking all the supps and chlorella, probiotics etc. am I missing anything?

Question 2.

Has anyone ever checked out the calorific value of all these supplementsi? I seem to be putting on weight and as I spent some considerable time losing 21lbs I'd rather not get it back again.

Hi Ande

the bloating, sinus & sweating are sxi of the die off going on.

You will need to step up the "moppers" & adjust them according to your body.

Step them up! You mean just climb into the packet with the Chlorella and swim about? If I take any more I'll turn into seaweed.

If you check in the handbook, there are many things that can be used for the die off sxi.  There is glucose, Charcoal, Emergen C &/or Vitamin C flushing & complex carbohydrates; others have tried cholestyramine/questran as well.

Are you also taking the supplementsi including the anti oxidants as these will help your organs deal with the extra work they are going through to flush away the bad stuff.

If it's pill shaped or capsule shaped, I'm taking it. Click my name to get to my profile and there's a full list.

Carbs could be the problem. I tend to eat a lot of fish, chicken and salads and avoid anything that is too heavy. With the bloating the last thing I wanted was a bowl of pasta. I noticed in DW's info it says about meals being 70% carbs. To me that's like saying "here, get fat". Frown

Andesine, I'm sorry, but I laughed so hard when I read your post that it took at least a minute before I could type! The fish oil is about 15 calories and probably with the others - like celery - it takes more energy to take them than they have. But the carbohydrate talk is the important thing. This is the time, if you are not already, to begin eating a judicious amount of whole-grain, high fiber carbohydrate. It doesn't have to be much, but half a piece of whole grain bread can help a lot and last a long time. My first meal of the day is usually a small amount of cereal with the following in it: a cut up banana, raisins, about 8 pecan halves, blueberries, honey, and now fresh strawberries, all with our fresh goat milk over it.

Andesine,  Here's a good target for blame (it's the one I'm using anyway).  The inflammationi from our immunei reactions to the infectionsi increases cortisol, which tends to make us pack it on around the belly.  The CAPi involves cyclical increases of inflammation---more cortisol.  This isn't a truism for everyone, but it's the truth for some of us.

How much is it going to cost to ship it to England?

CAPi for M.S. since 8/2007. Currently: 100 mg Dox. (2 x day), 250 mg Zithi (3 x week) ceased 3/2008, 150 mg Roxi (2 x day) starting 3/2008. Seventh pulse metronidazolei completed 4/11/2008.

CAPi for M.S. 8/2007 - 3/2009.  Twentieth pulse metronidazolei + INHi completed 3/12/2009.  Intermittent treatment thereafter until 11/20/2009.

I'm not sure, but I think they have goats in England. It might be better to buy one there.

I know about that whole size 10 thing, for the time being, it will have to be on hold.  Presently, I am a size 13.  Now, this pre illness, pre CAPi woman was a lean mean fit machine.

I have put some weight on with the thyroid issues & now the flip of the former 60% protein lifestyle I lead before.  I don't like it, but, I have decided that one problem at a time is easier to deal with.

Exhaustion has kept me from exercising like I would like.  I know that is going to change when I eradicate most of this beast within!

I don't have a goat, though, if I lived on an acreage I might have one, along with a burro, donkey, jersey cow & some pet pigs, 5 dogs, a few cats & oh ya, one of those white parrots. (that would be alot of work)

Weekend To Do List:

1. Clear space for bulk tanker delivery of Chlorella

2. Find gardener to dig up patio and replace with lawn. Quick growing variety of grass required. (Get quote for fencing off prize roses and peonies) (Electrified wire? or deep moat round flower borders?) (Find out if goats swim)

3. Buy several pairs of Levis with elasticated inserts (for the larger cowgirl in your life), bucket x 2 and waterproof leggings, cheap pair will do, only required for initial milking practice.

4. Find nearest branch of Goats-R-Us (distance could be a problem here. Maybe make it a day out.) ( Take picnic - subject to Chlorella tanker arrival)

Goats in England?  Of course we have goats: DW wanted to keep some if we moved out to the country, although I think (hope?) he has now changed his mind.

Ande, I'll tell you what I found: by the time I was 13 I was 5ft 8ins but suddenly stopped growing.  Until just after I got married I was a UK size 10, US size 8, but ended up a  UK size 12 and my jeans felt like they were getting a bit tight. Sometime last year I weighed 135lb which I felt was rather too much.  Today my weight has dropped back to less than 120lb, like when I was in my twenties.

I have had to discard some of my bottoms and buy some smaller jeans.  I never looked fat, just felt a bit too big.  I have never dieted, though, still do about the same amount of exercise as a year ago.  Although I finished antibioticsi last June, I maybe take even more supplementsi now because of the feeling that I need more antioxidantsi now that I have restarted oil painting.

Much the same weightloss as happened with David and we both feel and look better for it.  It maybe is getting rid of all the CPni and its waste products.

As for the 70% carbs: DW was advised to try that on me by Charles Strattoni.  I quickly rebelled because I just couldn't eat like that.  Now I eat mainly free range chicken, wild salmon, organic fruit and veg and lots of semi-skimmed milk. Lots of chlorella as well..........Sarah

I just received the HUGE jar of Chlorella to refill my smaller one I keep in the kitchen.

One of our bedroom communitys just outside of town uses sheep for their public property to keep the lawn down.  They have a herder who moves them around & the sheep leave fertilizer in return for their work!

Ooooh Sarah thanks. The thought of cramming down all those carbs was making me feel ill. Having read that and seen something about avoiding oily fish, I love smoked salmon, I was having visions of being an MSi free Bessie Bunter! It's bad enough being known round the village as "that barmy cat woman with the hedgehogs". I could do without being the "fat bird with the goat". Undecided

I too love chocolate, Belgian or any other kind, but I've discovered it's probably the culprit that's making me bunged up so I'm having to avoid it. Sigh.

If you can get hold of it, try the Dutch chocolate, Droste. Oooooooh yummmmy.

Not tried that but my favourite is the full crean Belgian sort that has to be kept in the fridge.  I also eat smoked salmon by the ton  -  forgot to mention that.  I expect our next door cat who spends hours staring into our fish free pond would love that as well, tastier than tadpoles and newts...........Sarah

Ahhh, the fresh cream sort. To be honest, mine has never lasted long enough to make it as far as the fridge. Laughing

We need to make a pact. When I've finished this protocol we'll have to get together for a private Smoked Salmon and Fresh Cream Chocolate party. Probably both be sick as parrots the next day but heck, it'll be good while it lasts.
