The term "falling apart syndrome"

I first encountered the term "falling apart syndrome" here a couple of years ago. I'd like to use the term as the title of a book I'm working on, and I'd like to give credit to the person who coined it. Does anyone know who coined the term? Is there a cpnhelp.org definition of it? What was the first message that it appeared in? Does anyone have any objections to me using it? Thanks Russ www.potbellysyndrome.com

Hi Russ, I love your book,

Hi Russ,

I love your book, The Potbelly Syndrome and refer many people to read it!

I do believe it might have been Jim K that coined that phrase.  Maybe someone else might know, but it so totally fits, doesn't it?  I believe it's actually the "generally falling aparti" or GFA Syndrome.  I saw that acronym somewhere and that's how I recall seeing it.

I "generally fell apart" Christmas Day and have been spending much of my time back bedhugging.

GFA or Generally Falling

GFA or Generally Falling Aparti was first used I think by Cypriane, (this is Joyce's user name) and if you write a private message to her I am sure she will be able to confirm that and gladly assent to your request.   I think it first was used in May 2007 (here).

It is a term I use myself in my signature as it perfectly describes what happens to one when getting old and infected with Cpni.

I think it was Joyce aka Cypriane that came up with Generally Falling Aparti Syndrome to come up with a category for people that felt like they were falling apart but did not have a specific diagnosis. I am going to read Potbelly Syndrome as I hear it is great!

Russ- I think it was Joyce

Russ- I think it was Joyce who used it first. The only credit I take is for, perhaps, calling it a "syndrome," since I'm generally entertained by inventing specious medical syndromes, and inventing the full faux-medicalese "GFAi Syndrome."

Glad to hear you are working on another book. I'll look forward to seeing it.

Russ, I read some of your prior posts and wondered is your new book related to your attempts at persuading  the NBGH, insurance companies, etc that "CPNiii is the scourge of the Century?"  If so how has that been going?  I've often wondered what would insurance companies think if they knew that the antibiotic treatments they've been such a big part of fighting against is the one thing that would probably have saved them millions, if not billions of dollars over the past many years.

Russ, I found your book

Russ, I found your book while researching hypercortisolism and it led me to this website and CAPi. I really appreciated your writing style and information. I took it with me to my first doctor's appointment to ask about CPNi and CAP. I left the book with him to read. He did give the book back, but wrote down the title-who knows if he ordered it. I was just wondering if you could give us a teaser for what the new book is about. Just curious:)

Hi Kelly Anna, I'm replying

Hi Kelly Anna, I'm replying from my neighbor's computer to see if my posting problem is really on my comuter. In the sring of '08 iwas going to contact NBGH and simiar organizations, but I decided that my website and my handout materials were so amateurish that they would hurt my cause. I've redone my website a couple of time and made my handouts slicker, 'though I'm not entirely happy with them. I still plan to contact NBGH and the big health insurance companies. My own insurer, Kaiser, wastes billions without batting an eye. Russ

Russ, Shockingly, my insurer had no compunction about the fifteen hundred a month for Copaxone. It seems so bizarre that many question three generic antibioticsi, at roughly three percent of that price.

Russ, good luck with this.  It can be so exhausting and frustrating trying to find ways of convincing people to stop following the path that they're on and that they've become accustomed to, even if it means saving themselves money, or even their lives, apparently.  (A friend just lost her sister due to leukemia caused by M.S. medications, as well as other complications caused by pain meds prescribed over many years.. There was and is no convincing her that bacteria was causing her sister's M.S.)

For your book on cognitive problems - from DW's coined term, what do you think of "The Forgettory Syndrome" (sp..) as a title?    Maybe I just like it because it applies so well to me.

Were you able to post alright?  I'm dying to know.  The suspense is killing me.  Tongue out

Actually, I tried to reproduce your problem on my pc using IE7, trying to change some settings and I simply couldn't so I'm hoping you have the issue solved.

Hi Memel33, thanks for the kind words about The Potbelly Syndrome. On my website, www.potbellysyndrome.com, I added a four-page summary of the book that you can give to interested doctors. The new book will show how infectionsi cause most of the diseasesi that are blamed on old age.

I created a new login name and password this evening and I'm trying to see if I can communicate smoothly with people on this group again.
