Vitamins

All - at least mostly - in my head

Unexpectedly, in my 55th pulse, I got - as Jim K colorfully calls it - slammed.

Last Monday I returned home from an exciting week of over 6000 miles air travel and a wonderful visit in Palm Springs to see my daughter open her beautiful new veterinary clinic. I met some of her clients and patients and told many of them of our own ground-breaking site with its adventures. There is NO litter in Palm Springs. My home-coming was very different from those in the past in that I did not need "recovery days" after landing and then driving 170 miles home after a 15 hour all-day two flight day from coast to coast. Amazing.  Not only is there "one is never so blind as one who will not see", but there is never one as grateful as one who has been to hell and back.

The disappearing lesion

Since the early seventies, I have been able to make my body go numb. The first times I fell because I didn't know what was coming. I have been able to do this at will for many years, but took care not to fall down. Fortunately, the feeling always returned.

As stubbornness is the nature of us on this site, I have only listened to Richard in the last six or so months when he admonished me not to do that! I can also dislocate my hip but he says not to do that either! (Takes all the fun out of life - no?) (No)

So - what IS the point - simply put: the ability is gone. I cannot do it anymore AT ALL. Not even a tingle and certainly no numbness. Yes, the quiet improvements continue - and the energy is very, very nearly back to my norm or 55 years. Keep at it - it pays.

Need more help with order of abx, pyruvate and vitamins and supps.

Can anyone give me a quick summary or point me to one already given here regarding recommendations for best order of all the stuff we take, especially including what not to mix together and how far apart to take things.

I've gotten a little in bits and pieces, and seen one discussion on it with someone saying what they did but not necessarily why.  I need to get the basics so I can come up with my own system.

For example, what vits. and supps need to be taken separately from abxi?  From NACi?  From pyruvate?  From each other?  From probiotics?

Does NAC truly need to be kept separate from abxi?  What about from any vit and supps?  Or probiotics? What about from pyruvate?

the here & now...is, what it is

It has been some time since I have updated my blog so here goes.  What to say???, breath, wind me up &&& …. I have been disengaged on the site as I just haven’t had the mindset to handle the stress.  I apologize for this as I know that my support has made a difference to some.  I found myself reading the posts and was getting stressed out & frustrated with it all.

Germanium anyone??

Has anyone tried Germanium? I've used it on and off for 6 months here and there. My hair test showed low Germinaium so I researched it and tried it.

This is what I've been taking, usually 1/2 or less of a30 mg capsule

The Best Day Two

This is a short blog of hope for those of us who are having a hard time seeing far ahead.

Last Sunday night I finished my 53rd pulse of flagyli. After more than three and a half years, I was back on Rifampin. Vertigo had hit me fairly hard as soon as I took my first capsule so I was curious how this pulse would affect me. Last fall and this spring I did extended pulses and was not mightily affected, which was encouraging in itself.

Need a Word of Encouragement

A word of encouragement?? I haven't checked in for quite a while. Been doing ok, but have been undergoing Vitamin C IV treatments for 4 weeks followed by Rifampin 150mg twice a day for 4 days.  My energy is zapped and the Rifampin feels like poision to my body.

1st week on Mino & wondering?

Well, I don't have to tell you that I am pleased things turned out pretty good for me. The first few days of Minoi were misery but then things began to settle down. The last couple days I haven't had to take extra Emergen-C but I am still stiff and achy. Plus my eyes are so red some folks at the store look at me as if I am crying OR stoned... sympathy or disdain. Of course either way I don't appreciate the vibes so quickly move on. Also I have daily coughing sessions and about gag at times trying to break loose the mucus stuck in my bronchial airways. (sorry) Sometimes it just feels like a hair stuck in my throat. It is worse for me in the mornings.

The Unbroken Circle or: It's the Rifampin, Stupid

Last month I added Rifampin to my arsenal again, after taking it twice a day for sixteen months and stopping it in Jan., 06. A few things have happened since I started Rifampin a few weeks ago. I decided I should set them to paper while I am lucid (so to speak).

Feeling Pretty Good Today

Well, today is the 12th day after my second tinii pulse that lasted 2 days.  I'm not sure if it's just from time or adding some new supplementsi but I'm feeling much better today.

I've recently added a few supplementsi to the ones I've already been taking:

Horny Goat Weed
Lactoferrin
SAMe
Phosphatidyl Serine
Methyl B12

I sat outside in the sun (got some D) and went for a swim with my fur kids today after being too sick to even think of doing anything for well over a week now.  Cool

Improving

I began coughing several months ago and remembered that I had several bouts of walking pneumonia as an adult.  as an infant, my mother told me that I had severe asthmai, but grew out of it. However, each time I caught a cold, it went straight to bronchitis.

I began coughing several months ago, and steadily got worse.  I badgered my FNP, to please start me on the protocolsi that Dr. Weldon used for his wife, to see if this would relieve/cure me.  I am getting information to her and she has been so willing to assist me.  THANK GOD! I still have more info to get to her and am so pleased that I am beginning to respond to the meds..the coughing has left and I can now sleep..I still occasionally have a minor wheeze..but NOTHING like it was.

Antibiotics to be available without prescription

This is the news:  In England, possible antibioticsi to be sold over the counter, to treat CHLAMYDIA!

This is the story form http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/aug/06/health<

Oral antibiotics are to be made available for the first time without doctor's prescription under guidelines approved yesterday by the medicines regulator.

A pill to treat chlamydia, the most commonly diagnosed sexually transmitted infection, will become available for purchase in pharmacies across England later this year.

Slammed in the head!

As I write this today I am not fully recovered but will try my best to convey what my latest experience involved. Am writing this with my right eye closed as a matter of fact. So anyway ... what I want to write about in my blog today is reflective of years of chronic illness that I merely pushed off as hormonal induced migraines that we women had to bear in life. Of course ... I think I know better now. Not that hormones cannot play a role in this illness but that I know the true instigator I believe.

The bugs' long-overdue deaths

The title was suggested by a conversation between two of our most battle-hardened warriors, and I couldn't resist it. This has been one of the most eventful years of my life - busy, too. Beginning in January with surgery and moving through kidding season, then a very, very good show season, this last taking a temporary break after the best Nationals in years, then linear classification of our goats, now a break for the really bad August heat (this is AFTER the really bad July heat), then a resumption of show season next month, which wil begin my fifth year of MSi treatment.
