Empty Capsules Triple "000" size V-caps or Gelatin Caps can be useful.

Nausea, stomach pain and vomiting from gastric irritation while taking Doxy, Clarithromycin or metronidazolei(Flagyl) is a topic that has come up over and over again here.

Empty Capsules Triple "000" size V-caps or Gelatin Caps was suggested several years ago for people who had trouble tacking Flagyl.    I picked up a bag at my local natural foods store.  Some people purchase Vit-C in bulk and fill their own capsules, they are used for other herbs as well.

Trying Roxi instead of Azith

This is day two of switching from Azith to Roxi.  I have a few months' supply and thought I would switch out one of my ABXi since I have been on this protocol for about 2.5 years.   My CPNi titers (in June of this year) are still very high.

I really didn't think there would be any noticable change, but today I am having definite endotoxini reactions (red, scratchy eyes),inflammationi ( my knees and hips are stiff), my legs feel like mud and it's more difficult to walk today.  Extreme fatigue.

Definitely notice Roxi doesn't seem to have the immunomodulatory effect that Azith does for me (so far anyway).

1 year and 9 months on CAP.

I didn't even notice how time went by. It's been 1 year and 9 months since I started CAPi. When I started, I thought I'd be on it only for a year. Then I hoped to stop at 2 years mark but now I see that I may need a bit more time b/c I still have a few unresolved symptoms.

I am guilty though for taking about 3-4 weeks break from treatment this summer. It happened sponteneously. I ran out of meds, didn't refill on time, we needed to go away for vacation, oh well, many excuses. The truth is that I am burnt out.  I put myself back on track but I can't wait when the treatment will be over.

my progress. switched from doxy to Rifampin big decision but good

Hello everyone. I have made a lot of changes to my antibioticsi in the last couple weeks. It was a risk but it seems to be working.  I switched from Doxyi to Rifampin 6 days ago and I have seen dramatic improvements from the first pill (The big switch) (300mg 2x per day) I thought I would get a big reaction from going of the doxy becuase Ive been on it for so long but so far none to report. This was a big decision and I dont reccomend it unless you have been on doxy for a while and want to try something else.  but I thank god it worked! My lymph nodes are back to normal, imflammation greatly reduced and energy restored etc etc. Im not giving my hopes up yet but I thought I had to let everyone know. Rifampin is strong and I can feel it working in a good way.

Pharmacies with good pricing on CAP Antibiotics

Starting a forum topic to Bookmark information for those users who are personally paying full cost out of pocket for their CAPi abxi as well other prescription medications and are able to shop established pharmacies for the best pricing available to them.

This topic is not a new one but this time it is being located as a bookmark.  If you feel so inclined post your suggestions.

These pharmacies require that hard copy of your Rx be sent directly to them before filling your Rx.

update on my progress

Hello. everyone. Me and Flagyli are becoming good friends. I say the first week was hell but now its tolerable. The depression is very mild and only periodically and the nasua comes and goes. I talked to my docter and he said to try to take Flagyl for 6 weeks straight. he said he has had a lot of success with that.  I am going to try for 6 weeks. Dont worry if it gets too bad ill stop but I really think I can do this.  Flagyl becomes more tolerable as time goes on. like I said the biggest problem I have is the nasau and depression but that is going away. You do feel like a zombie on this stuff but its worth it for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks its back to my regular pulses. I have to say after about a week on flagyl a lot of inflammationi is gone.

Hello, I am new here

Hello, I am glad I found this amazing site (thank you, Ken). I just finished reading Kim's blog, and I am amazed and awed. Although I was on the Vanderbilt protocol for 3 years, I never noticed such amazing improvements--that could be because my disease is a bit milder?

My bladder does not function (I have been self-catheterizing 5 to 7 times a day for years), I have numbness and weakness in my hands and legs, balance problems, and, most of all, extreme problems with fatigue--8-9 hours of sleep every night plus two naps a day is about right for me.

Wow, now that I have put my symptoms down in black and white, my condition doesn't sound so mild! ;)

wow! INH is both a antidepressant and a antibiotic. please read article

Herxing

I'm new here and not too sure where to post to discuss questions as they come up. I'll try here and if it's not right someone will tell me.

I read about the Herxjeimer effect as I read where others have gone into this phase a few times.

I've been on azithromycin for almost 3 weeks now ans I has abdominal pain and nausea first few days. I have Phernergan in the house as part of my disease Vasculitisi and a prednsione taper can make me sick like this. Usually the pain meds help too.

But I expressed to the new doc who found this CP that I ws hopeful to go off all meds starting with the pred. He said that was his goal and that I could if the ABXi works.

heart infection

Hello everyone.  about a week ago I tried going off my abxi to see where I was but I dont think it was a good idea. the first thing I noticed was my heart was going to beat out of my chest and swollen lymph nodes in my neck. I went back on my abxi that night and it toke 2 days to get back to normal. Im starting to worry about how bad this is. I think if I was to go off this stuff id have a heart attack. I know I have cpni but I didnt know it was that deadly. I think maybe I have a very week immunei system and didnt know it until my infection.  I pray that these abx keep workng. I am pulsing my flagyli right know.  This is so hard becuase only the people on this website understand this sickness.

Generic Levaquin question

My provider changed my CAPi and gave me an Rx of Levaquin instead of Biaxin. Also, changed back to Bactrim from Amoxicillini. And I continue to take Minoi and Flagyli pulses.

Well, I looked everywhere and it seems that in US  I only can get brand name for Levaquin which is expensive and out of my price range. I see that some online non-US pharmacies have generic Levofloxacin for various prices.

If anyone  has good experience getting generic Leva from online, could you please let me know where? I am kind of unsure if it's OK to buy non-US generic brand from unknown place b/c who knows the quality? In US all generics have to be complied with the same regulations as brands but that may not be true for other countries.

New Here...

Hi.  new here.  Have just started Weldon protocol while I wait to see

a Lyme's doc.  A little introduction and a question:

Have had multiple tick bites from 2005-2009, culminating in

being diagnosed after stiff neck, abnormal RBC and WBC counts, exhaustion

 and flu symptoms with Lymes.

3 wks doxyi prescribed (that was ALL I got despite pleading).  At 3 wks of treatment,

I had a mild onset of symptoms that resembled pyphorria.  (did not know at the time).

they cleared when I stopped taking the doxy.  My RBC went up some, but WBC is

still kind of low.

Went off doxy (finished) felt okay, but then the neck pains, popping and crunching,
