Inflammation of joints

They're in the starting gate...&...they're offff....

Well, finally today my additional supplementsi recommended for the protocol have arrived!

I just had a snack, took the NAC & a few others, sorted & wrote on all the bottles & now I am tired & I need a nap!  Oregano Oil makes your lips feel funny!  I will have 3 weeks of NAC under my belt when I see my MD next on June 22.  Then I will have my prescriptions for the switch to the Wheldon Protocol.

Multiple Symptoms, here is my diatribe!!  I was new to the site April 06 & I have Fibromyalgia-FMSi, Chronic Fatigue Immunei Deficiency-CFIDSi/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis">i- ME, Chronic Lyme Diseasewith the usual cornucopia of underlying symptoms, crashes, flu like symptoms, migraines including CPNi, Babesia & recently hereditary genetic Hemochromatosis.

At the End of January

It seems like a long time since I last checked in. Just before I went on vacation for the holidays, I came down with a nasty intestinal bug. Had some high fevers and chills and had to stay in bed for two days. I can't remember the last time that happened---must have been years ago. Anyway, Christmas shopping was last minute and limited and I did manage to get better in time to eat Christmas dinner. But I must have lost about 6 pounds in just a short time. I spent the two weeks after just working on recovering---good food, lots of rest, some walking outdoors in the sun and starting to exercise again.

CPN and RA

Test blog  I am not rally sure what I am doing or how to send this.  Is there an easier way?  I am used to email lists and not blogs.  Sorry I am so old on this issue.  Kit

The War Develops on Another Front

The battle has shifted to another front for me. In mid September I wrote that I felt a viral infection coming on. At the time, I had some pain in my right hand around the knuckles and a small lump under the skin. Dr. Powell tested me for some viral infectionsi and on Nov 1st, the results came back that I had an acute recently acquired Epstein-Barr infection. i started on Valtrex that day (2 grams a day). I was curious about the incubation period (adults 4-6 weeks) that places me right at the time of my dental appointment in mid August. Where else would I come into contact with saliva from another person? Some sloppy sterilization practices probably to blame. Damn them!

I thought the infection was tough (insomnia, chills, sore throat, swollen gland and
weight loss)...

Book about RA and Infection

I found this book about RA and infection online:

CAPi since 8-05 for Cpn  and Mycoplasma P. for MSi and/or CFSi. Now treating for EBVi with Valtrex. Possible development of RA.

Anyone treating Cpn for arthritus?

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and cfsi about 5 years ago.  I have taken minocin for my rai<i< for about 3 years and thought I was doing quite well.  I had not really addressed the cfs or c. pneumoniae during this time.  I didn't even mention the cfs to anyone much.  It sounded like a fancy name for being lazy and I blamed most of my fatigue on the rheumatoid arthritis.  The minocin I thought was keeping the ra pretty much in check, but the fatigue had gotten much worse and I decided to start doing everything I could to make some headway in truly feeling better.  I talked my doctor into the protocal for c. pneumoniae and I have just started taking the zithro along with my minocin.  I had already added the NACi< of course.  I was wondering if there was anyone here who also had rhuematoid arthritis?  I'm suffering probably herxing from the ra and maybe the cfs at this time.  I'm having some discomfort in the bronchial area and more swelling in joints.  I will add the flagyli<i< in about 2 more weeks.  I'm not doing my diet as I should and I will try to cut out the white stuff better.  Just wanted to share that treading water with minocin has certainly proved not to be all I should have been doing all this time.  Good luck to all.

Diseases associated with Cpn: the exhaustive list

I have culled from Mitchell & Stratton patent #6,884,784 an exhaustive list of diseasesi where Cpni has been implicated as a possible cause or co-factor (reference: Mitchell & Stratton patent #6,884,784):

Diseases where an association has been discovered between chronic Chlamydia infection of body fluids and/or tissues with several disease syndromes of previously unknown etiology in humans which respond to unique antichlamydial regimens include:

Editorial comment: Strong findings from their research. If you have any of these it suggests to me that at least an empirical course of the combination antibiotic therapy is strongly indicated, with or without serologyi.

Multiple Sclerosis (MSi)
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
Inflammatory Bowel Diseasei (IBD)
Interstitial Cystitisi (IC)
Fibromyalgiai (FM)
Autonomic nervous dysfunction (AND neural-mediated hypotension);
Pyoderma Gangrenosum (PG)
Chronic Fatigue (CF) and Chronic Fatigue Syndromei (CFSi).

does Cpn explain my symptoms - or shoud I look out for some other reasons?

to start with, i am so happy that this page exists. it is one of the best (technically functioning and emotionally supporting) i have ever seen.

yet i still don't know whether i actually "belong" here as my symptoms are so different.

All I know is that
* 2 years ago i had a "very bad cold" with "very heavy bronchitis" (ugly stuff coming op with the cough) - did not see a doctor then, cured it by myself...
* and during and EVER after this i have a pain in my neck and back, that did not go away even with the best manual medicine, shots, massages etc.
* and  now for 3 months i feel chills on and off an generally feel cold easily
* and my gallbladder is thick and has an inflammationi for "reasons unknown"
* and my blood work says I have Cpni (IgGi 70 - not very much, but this was after 2 weeks of antibioticsi already), no other type of chlamydia, and no other known virus
* and that there is "moderate systemic activation of my cellular Immunei system), IgM 335, activated T-cells 17. etc.
* and that my gall bladder is only versy slowly getting better, if any at all, and the neckpain also is only slowly decreasing, after already 6 weeks of doxycycline, with  2 phases of azithromycin and metronidazol each.<!--break-->
