Odd Aspect of Marriage

This Fall I had the worst sinus infection of my life, and it took a long time to get over it. Even after the infection misery subsided, I was still left with a stopped-up ear and partial deafness for a few weeks, not to mention fatigue and and embarrassing stupor. This comes from someone who has had dozens of bad sinus infectionsi. I'm fairly well convinced that Cpni was NOT the culprit this time.

It just dawned on me that Steve's imbalance has been markedly worse since around the time I got the sinus infection. Hmmmmm.

Some user tips: geeky stuff

First, don't use the "Search" box up at the right! Google is just better. If you click this link, then put your search terms after "site:cpnhelp.org," you'll get better results, faster results, and save a load on our servers.

Interesting: Vitamin D and Parkinson's

Not sure I'd read about this potential link before:

Lack Of Vitamin D Linked To Parkinson's Disease

Possible victory for Open Access

Well, I've decided that neither of the U.S. Presidential candidates is perfect. They're both politicians, for one thing. However, here is one more factor to throw in the balance pan if you're making that decision this year.

One of the candidates has named his science advisors, and they include a notable supporter of Open Access.  The other candidate has not yet responded to inquiries about his choice of science advisors, so there's still some chance that he'll also support OA.

I need to vent...

I need to vent a little (ok, more than a little)...

I just read this Times, UK article entitled How scientists linked sunshine, diet and disease and am just shy of enraged with those in the medical community who ignored the increasingly clear and important evidence for Vit D3 in health over the last @ 30 years.

Wise Words ... like it, so thought I'd share :)

Dr Powell

I am finally scheduled to see Dr Powell on 9-15 and would like to know if those who have traveled to see him can suggest a place to stay(are doctor discounts available?) and is it necessary to rent a car or is shuttle service available? Any help with this is appreciated. Thanks

Thisisms denial of death from ms?

Wasn't there a brouhaha a few months ago on "thisisms" over someone mentioning death by ms? A strange denial, it seemed to me. Thought this obit might be of interest. Perhaps it should be posted there.

Whenever I send the welcome message out to a new member I get to see a serial number which indicates the number of people who have registered on the site.

At present we are 7 short of 1600.

Of course not all these people are active members, some have never posted but it just shows that the knowledge is spreading and that people are interested to find out what it is all about...

Radiofrequency and Extremely Low-Frequency Electromagnetic Field Effects on the Blood-Brain Barrier

Here is interesting and credible article on

Radiofrequency and Extremely Low-Frequency Electromagnetic Field Effects on the Blood-Brain Barrier

Recently there was a joint statement from several of the world's foremost neurosurgeons about the risk of cell phone usage and brain cancer.  This is a topic I have followed ever since my husband developed his first lesion/mass in 2006.  My husband was a rabid cell phone user.  His first lesion was in prime cell phone position.

Brain-eating mind-control fungus

No, really.

This fungus is what the new MSi drug fingolimod is based on.

Does food give us a clue?

This is doing the rounds in an email. Thought I'd post it here so you can either tear it to pieces or find some useful truths.

A clue as to what foods help what part of our body?

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye... and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Sci-fi

I saw that this formum can be about other things besides our health so I thought I would see if there are any sci-fi people out there.  I watch a lot of tv (I know!) because I can numb out and forget about how I feel for a little while.  I love Stargate, Dr.

visual floaters

Dear All
Sometime back, on one of the lists I subscribe to, there was a note about visualisation of spirochetes as floaters in the fluid in ones eyes.
I have been unsuccessful in finding the post but hope that someone reading may have further info.
I am aware that red blood cells contribute to floaters after a bleed or injury to the eye. What I am unsure of is the absolute physical conditions in which these are seen as red cells, circular in outline and discoid in shape. To my mind, there must be some point where these floaters are imaged accurately on the retina.
