Tinnitus and Chlamydia pneumoniae - a connection?

I have now for 18 months suffered from tinnitus. It first started one morning and faded away during an hour, then the same thing repated itself a week later. Then after X-mas 2009, in the beginning of January it came to stay, unfortunately.

Accompanied by muscle stiffness, especially in right chest, neck, throath. This stiffness is what I believe generates my tinnitus. I have seen a lot of doctors, ENT, MR, CT scans, osteopath, kinesiologist, acupuncture. You name it - I have been there.

The Elephant(s) in My Room – Blog Update

I haven't posted much and my last blog update was in May of this year. I wish the reasons were because I was enjoying a recovery and had my health back, but it's not.   I now join the ranks of some of the others here who came to this site about the time I did.

Last week I had Bioenergetic Testing done which indicated I have:  Bartonella Henselae, Babesia Nosodes, Mycoplasma Fermentes, Borrelia Burgdorferi and high levels of systemic yeast (as well as EBVi, HHV-6 and CPNi) -- "my elephants" and reasons for not recovering.

Who out there is functional? (Non-Ms'ers)

For the benefit of perspective......I am curious.  We get varied responses on physical reactions to pulses, ABXi, etc.; BUT,  in the big picture, how many of you ( on a day-to-day basis), are still functioning below normal.... or non-functional?   How many are unable to work, drive, take care of the home, cook, etc.?

Some of you speak of your pulses taking you down, but yet have the physical capabilities of going to the gym, carrying out day-to-day activities and working.  (Which, by the way, is fantastic)  This query is in no way meant as an offense to anyone.

Since I am unable to do a poll, is anyone willing to share?

Very interesting! I'm not depressed, I'm actually really sick. Really.

I've just finished a seven-day course of Flagyli, and - after warnings from both the doctor and pharmacist to stay away from alcohol - Googled "Flagyl" and "alcohol" and came across this site. Didn't know ether was a virtual support group for chlamydia pneumoniae |(how do you explain that to the uninitiated? I've been asked "sexually transmitted, eh"?)

So this is rather exciting and quite interesting as well. My story is quite a bit like so many I've heard or read about.

the here & now...is, what it is

It has been some time since I have updated my blog so here goes.  What to say???, breath, wind me up &&& …. I have been disengaged on the site as I just haven’t had the mindset to handle the stress.  I apologize for this as I know that my support has made a difference to some.  I found myself reading the posts and was getting stressed out & frustrated with it all.

Need a Word of Encouragement

A word of encouragement?? I haven't checked in for quite a while. Been doing ok, but have been undergoing Vitamin C IV treatments for 4 weeks followed by Rifampin 150mg twice a day for 4 days.  My energy is zapped and the Rifampin feels like poision to my body.

Is Tinnitus a result of CPN?

My friend Isabelle is suffering a severe Tinnitus">i and she has been told that she just have to learn  to live with it.  It is true that she worked in a very loud environment, but I remember her having very strong "colds" and "flus"; so, because I saw that this illness was mentioned here, I would like to ask if it might be relationed with CPNi and if it is treated as the MSi?

Can someone help my friend guiding her as to what to do?  she is living in South America...

Thank you very much to everyone!

Marie.

Hi, everybody

I am very happy that I found your wonderful website. Since my childhood I suffer from many illnesses, frequent infection, influenzas, hypo-immunity, every bacillus was always mine. Later (in adult age) I tried to use medicines from my doctor to improve my immunity:

Luivac, Bronchovaxom, Imunor, Imudon, Biostim, Isoprinosine a Wobenzym but without success.

What to take for depression associated with CFS?

I need any information anybody can give me on overcoming depression associated with CFSi. I am currently taking 40 mg/ day Nortriptyline, 300 mg/day Wellbutrin, 75 mg/day DHEAi. I'm on a lot of anti-oxidants too.

Still experiencing moderate to severe depression. Most days, severe depression. What will help? Anything? Does Vitmain D help? I have to hold down my full time job and the depression (along with the fatigue) is REALLY taxing me and my motivation and could cost me my job if I can't find something to help.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Lynn

FMS symptoms, besides pain meds??

Good afternoon!

I've been having fibromyalgiai symptoms for the past 4 days- neck, left shoulder, back of head, band across my head from 1 temple to the other, down my spinal cord. I haven't dealt with fibro symptoms in several years and I can't remember what I can do to relieve my pain and stiffness.

I've been taking Lortab (Hydrocodone with acetaminophen) and/or Ultracet, aspirin, using a topical analgesic oil rub and a moist heat wrap. I'm also stretching. I've considered the chiropractor and massage therapist just haven't made appointments yet.
