Hi Jim K, After another search of my dictionary, I am thinking, is there a module that could be had that would provide a spell checker?
Just thought I would ask ;0) ? Please put it on my wish list, the holiday season will soon be here. Until then, I simply must locate my mispeller's dictionary! Louise

There is a module, but more will put load on the server and slow things down. A better solution is use Firefox. You can download a number of extensions including spell correct and dictionary lookup that can be invoked with right click (for PC) or from a toolbar icon. I use the Google toolbar with Firefox, available for both Mac and PC, which has a bunch of useful tools including spellcheck and translation buttons.

The spell checker and lots of other addons are available once you have installed Firefox. Warning - you will be addicted to getting add ons and trying new themes.

Firefox is freeware and can be downloaded from here.
I love it, and I believe Firefox version 2.* now has spellbound spell check already installed, so you don't even need to install an extension or add-on. In a text edit box, all unrecognized words will be underlined in red and your spell check options (add to dictionary, or other suggested spellings, etc) can be obtained by left clicking somewhere on the underlined word and right clicking to see the options that appear in the pop up box.
A great add-on for Firefox, btw, is Adblock Plus it prevents loading adds and banners on web pages (unless you turn it off for that page) and seems to greatly speed up loading of most pages. It can be downloaded (for free again) from here.

It's OK Red because I forgot
It's OK Red because I forgot to mention Adblock - I use Adblock Plus and this site is the only one where I have disabled it! Otherwise it is great for blocking ads which do slow down page rendering a lot (besides showing ads that I don't want/need to see!
I love Firefox and really hate it when I have to use IE for checking sites when I design. IE 7, 6, 5 and 5.5 all have rendering bugs because they don't follow W3C standards; that's in addition to being security risks.

I now have it available as an alternative browser choice.
I have no doubt that it is better in so many ways.
And it would be wonderful to have someone accessible here and really familiar with it to show me how to get up to speed, a little show and tell is always helpful for me.
