blackfoot, The Flagyli-related sore throat and neck glands were an issue for me for the first 2 yrs on the capi. Now since taking pyruvate it does not happen anymore. However, if I skip the pyruvate it tends to return, just not as severely as it once did. As for the HHV6 infection, I have not been tested so am not sure if that is part of the etiology behind it.

Im not on Flagyli but my guess is thats your sore throat are from inflammationi from killing some Cpni.

I did also read somewhere that  Flagyl can sometimes make your immunei system low and if you get symtoms like sore throat,fever=feels sick.Then you must tell your doctor that you used Flagyl. Sorry dont know more about this, but maybee something to read with the paper that cames with the abxi!

Maria, The problem with the idea that 'flagyli can make your immunei system low and you must tell your doctor' is the same one we've experienced with the warning labels on all the meds on this protocol. Many of the 'side effects' listed on the drugs are probably the result of cpni die-off and aren't side-effects at all. I can't begin to think how flagyl would lower your immune system.

I suppose that there is a possibility that Flagyl might kill so many infected macrophages at the same time (this might happen occasionally when doing a pulse) that your immunce system might be temporarily less effective than it had been previously, but this is a temporary condition and the aim of the protocol of course is to get rid of any cells infected with Cpni.

There is a common misunderstanding that sore throats, coughs and sneezes are the action of the infection on our system, however the reason we have these symptoms is because of our immunei system getting busy killing the bugs.   It is this killing action that makes us feel bad.   When the white blood cells get busy killing bugs they do a lot of collateral damage which makes our throats sore and our sinuses sneeze.

Cpni is a respiratory infection, or at least starts off as one. As such the throat is one of the most heavily infected areas of the body. The far simpler explanation for what is going on is that it is Cpn kill. Flagyli after all is a potent anti-chlamydial. I don't have HHV6 (tested recently), but I get sore throats from treatment as I'm sure most people do or have done at some point.

CFSi. Started CAPi 03-07. Currently: Roxi 600mg + Doxyi 200mg + Rifamp 300mg . Tinii pulses 1000mg. Sauna QOD. D 8000IU. Niacini 3 x 500mg. Mel 3mg.

Yes I agree with you all. Just wanted to share that I did read something about low immunei system  for some people after using Flagyl.

I also had/have soar throat from abxi and allicin, and I think its a good sign for me!

thanks for your comments, it all helps me build a picture of what might be going on. 

This time it went the whole hog and turned into a REAL cold. so i feel a bit ditzy having done a post about a cold, nasty though it is!  BUT normally it doesn't and i just feel sore throated and yuk for no particular reason.  Whenever these start to stop i will be cheering in the streets .... and on this site....
