Something's missing

OK you loony pill poppers, I have a question.

Anyone else experiencing faster nail growth on CAPi? I seem to be cutting both finger and toe nails far more frequently than before.

The other weird thing is my armpits have gone bald. Not that I'm complaining, I hate having to shave them but we're off out tonight so I hopped in the bath and pulled out the razor, directed armpit toward mirror and...

rubbed eyes, looked closer. Rubbed mirror. Went and got glasses. Peered again. Checked other armpit...

Nothing.

Now I've never had a huge pile of undergrowth there but I did at least have some.

Yeah, A lot of pills (supps) are made with silica, and silica bought by itself is used to increase your nail and hair health. I dont think its from the antibioticsi but I could be wrong. Your probably taking supplementsi with silica in them.

Fibro, CFSi,  Myco, CPNi, Stratton protocol, Zithro 500mg M/W/F/S, Doxyi 100mg 2x day, NACi 1200mg 2x day, Flagyli and INHi 2 week pulses 400 mg 3x day, Rifampin, 300mg 2x day,  Still cant shake it but improving.

Hair and nails do grow faster after starting CAPi and the germs are expunged. For about six months my hair stayed very thin and sparse and I kept blocking the shower with them, but after that, bingo!  I can't say about the underarm stuff because I have never had any, but I don't think silica in the supps has anything to do with it............Sarah

Andesine,

Hormones play a part in hair growth as well as infected hair follicles and/or clearance of that infection process.

I'm always puzzled by whether better/more hair and nail growth means more dead cells (I think hair and nails continue to grow after death due to cell deathi?) or maybe due to the growth of new healthier ones which causes more of the dead cells hence, longer thicker hair and nails.  My hairdresser has commented on healthier hair for me when I was feeling my worst as I was feeling like death warmed over at the time so...? Undecided

FWIWi, whenever I've had inflammationi reaction I get a nail or two which develops psoriasis and it grows about 10 times faster than the rest of the nails, disfigured of course but it's weird to watch how this nail (I have one now) seems to grow overnight.

As for the underarm thingy, Whoopie Goldberg did a skit awhile back which included a piece on her lack of "hair down there" now and I've heard other post menopausal women say the same exact thing.

I have very little hair on my arms and legs and never really noticed much difference but I do still have some.  Wink

Don't believe everything you think!

Can leave this pun unturned? No. "That's really the pits, Andesine!"

Okay, got that out of my system. I'm betting the apoptosisi of infected hair follicles. Mass suicide! Look at Michele's story about alopecia">i and hair regrowth with before and after pics. Too bad you didn't think to take before pictures of your arm pits. Poor CAPi observor that you are !Wink But that will spare you from having to bare your pits on behalf of science!

Well Jim I have to say that it's sometimes occured to me to take a before and after shot of a room I've decorated but never once did I consider taking a shot of my armpits just in case there was a change in growth. It's really not something you consider is it.

Now I've posted this though, perhaps you need to add a bit to getting started.

1. NACi 600mg. Slowly increase to 2400mg

2. Take photo of all hairy bits for comparison later on.

For modesty's sake lets leave one hairy bit out... But your observation about shaving co-incides with mine.   Very little pit hair and other body hair, even though head hair is much better.

I had already observed that before treatment the tougher white head hair and body hair seemed to have survived.   Shortly after starting the protocol the finer dark hair on my head started to grown again, and 18 months later the body hair and white hair began to fall out.   That process is still going on, as well as some renewed falling out of finer dark hair, although the patches are much smaller than before and do not spread to adjacent patches.   I'm going to have to get someone to take pictures of my head again, it is quite striking how much darker my hair is now than when I wrote about it first.

I'm not going to take pics of my pits though.  Someone else can do that....

Nooooooo please not head hair! It's always been fine and it's just starting to thicken up. I've spent ages growing the  layers out, I don't want it all to drop out.

LOL, you guys are funny!

Hey Ande, I too have very little hair on my arms, the odd blonde on except for one rogue dark hair you might find on a mole & a mole on the back of one of my arms that has 2 hairs on it!  My pits are very little has my legs are to.  But... the "down there" unfortunately is the untamed beast!  Good transplant hair, lol.  I wish it weren't sooo.

My head hair, facial hair & nails are growing well.  Though, I have noticed my nails are up & down, possibly hormones or lack thereof.  I think it might be because of the biotin as well.
