Signature Rules

Some of you may have noticed that certain posts following others turn a whole thread into italics, or strike through or some other odd formating. The culprit turns out to be the signature: if the end of your signature includes any formating other than plain text, it applies it to all following comments. The solution:

Please don't include any special formating in the final words of your signature.

That's all.

Is there any way to have

Is there any way to have the signature feature insert its own non-formated character at the end -?

A similar thing happened to

A similar thing happened to me after failing to post an image in a blog.   Even though I deleted the message that caused the whole problem it still carried on...

Also I have a problem with the private message box.  Its not irretrievable, as I can stretch it out using the little grab triangle but when it first appears it is just the thinnest box even and I cannot see what I write unless I stretch it out.   Not sure what can be done about it I am not the only one to whom this happens but it obviously is not a problem for everyone.

Michele- if that only

Michele- if that only happens in private messages it's an interaction between your browser and the css for that page. If it's happening to others, I can see about changing the css for that particular "node" as it's called in drupal.

Sunni- I dont' have the skill to mess with the signature module, so not sure what's the problem. It only seems to have become a problem when I added the module that allows signatures to appear on blog posts, so is probably from that.

Jim, I get the same thing

Jim,

I get the same thing as Michele with the pm box but I've always had it and I simply drag the corner with my mouse to open the box to type in it.
