Serological studies on Cpn infections

I found a recent 2007 dissertation by M. Paldanius that provides a very good review of the literature and testing procedures for detecting chronic infectionsi and reactivations.  He's on the medical microbiology faculty at the University of Oulu, Finland. His dissertation can be found here: Serological studies on Chlamydia pneumoniae infections.

cchase, Thanks for posting

cchase, Thanks for posting this.  I'm not sure these researchers are as alone as they believe in their interpretations of the different antibody levels as indicating chronic/acute infectionsi.  I find their correlation of elevated IgAi with future coronary events to be a crucial prediction tool that cardiologists should learn to test for and to take seriously.  Many newcomers here have asked the question of whether or not they will be immunei to Cpni infection in the future once they have completed the CAPi.  This study answers that question very clearly:  "The presence of antibodies does not provide protection from reinfection."

Ruth, are you on flagyli, or have you been recently? With Richard (up to 174/95) from 145/80+/-) there is definitely a correlation - and mine went to 120+ one time (usually 102).
