Had my Dr appt yesterday. He asked if I had come to this website and I told him just how invaluable it was to not only helping me understand, but my mental stability of finding folks who are facing the same issues. In building this blog I uncovered the minoxcyclin that I was taking for my face (which cleared it up like magic) and how bad I felt afterwards. I did scold him for not warning me of die-off and how bad I would feel. He commented that he wasn't sure I would be affected but that he would make a note to make sure to tell others. Got the feeling I was a test case and it surprised him with my classic response.
When I told him that my lower left leg is like my barometer of "health". When I physically overdo, it gets very sore, buckly, tingly and like it doesn't want to hold me up. He wants me to have a test out of a lab in Austin called AAL just recently bought by Genova Labs. All I could find anti-myelini antibodies tests....is that for MSi?? He explained that it would test the myelon sheath to see if it was working properly. We are checking with insurance now.
The plan...get off the Nystatin, start my supplementsi (from the list published here), continue my 30mg Armour Thyroid and the new stuff.....a prescription for 500mg of Amoxil 2x day. I am to take that for a month with my 1200 NAC (wants me to back off from 1800) and then we will add Probenacid for a month. Then in month 3 we add Doxyi and Zithro. I've not seen the Probenacid anywhere in the protocolsi or the Amoxicillian. Need your input and thoughts on this?!
On the health status level, I couldn't get out of bed to go to work today until 10...everything weighs about 40 lbs..arms, legs, etc. Luckily I wasn't missed at work.
Your words of encouragement, wisedom, advice and companionship through this journey means more than you will know. Thank you everyone.

Reaction? Or just a
Reaction? Or just a coincidence. My butt was thorougly kicked from the wedding all week long and then starting Amoxil on Tues evening. Didn't feel better until Saturday morning. Sunday my lower right leg began itching and now this am, there is a red patch bigger than the size of your entire hand and it itches like crazy. There isn't a rash, it's just looks very inflamed but doesn't feel hot or bumpy. I've only had this once before about 4 years ago and it went away on it's own in about a week. The upper body aches have gone for the past 36 hours but lower extremities are very sore and at night some zingers in my toes but only briefly. Just weird so I'm curious?! I think I'm gonna watch it and if it starts to spread give my doc a call.

Lisa- Probenecid slows the
Lisa- Probenecid slows the excretion of amoxi by the kidneys, keeping it in circulation longer so you get max effect. That may be why your doc wanted to knock down the NACi until you see whether you get bigger hit.
