Well finally got to meet Dr Sriram..................... [1]

Submitted by doglover on Sat, 2008-08-16 15:27.
  • Vanderbilt Protocol [2]
Had my first visit last Thursday August 14, 2008 with Dr. Sriram and it was awesome!! I definetly had reservations (one being having to fly-not my favorte thing to do) as to whether or not this was a good move, but after meeting and talking to him I am so glad that I went. He's really a nice man, very intelligent, very personable with a sense of humour. Turns out his in-laws only live about 40 miles from me. Such a small world. He normally treats patients who are still ambulatory. He has the best results with individuals who do not have as much damage as someone in a wheelchair. He agreed to try me on his protocol for six months to see how I do. If I don't respond favorably after six months he suggested that I go back to conventional methods of treatment.

Thinking of changing protocols................ [3]

I've been on the Wheldon protocol since 2-4-2006 and am thinking of switching to the Sriram protocol to see if it jumps starts anything (have an appointment with Dr. Sriram in August, they gave me an appointment for June but I have too much going on the next couple of months to get there that soon). Should I switch or wait to see Dr. Sriram? Just got my liver test results today and they are all well within limits so that's good news Linda

Seem to be at a stand still....................... [5]

I don't seem to be going one way or another. Started Rifamapin February 22, 2008 to see if it would jump start things and it hasn't done anything. Except I did notice more weakness when I did my pulses. Any suggestions-should I change to different antibioticsi [6] then what I am on now??? Or just assume this is as good as it gets-no progression but no improvement??? Also how do I get my signature line to show on my blogs??? Linda

Feel like I have a fever all the time.................. [7]

I feel like I have a fever all the time though my body temperature is low-normally 97.5. I am always wearing sleeveless shirts-no coat and if the temperater gets above 65 I'm dying from the heat. Can't eat anything hot cause I sweat up a storm after. Anyone else feel this way. Is this a side effect of the antibioticsi [6] or menopause? Linda

ALS--DR STRATTON ???? [8]

Submitted by doglover on Mon, 2008-03-31 10:50.
I thought I read on here somewhere about a doctor in Colorado who was treating people with ALS with IV antibioticsi [6]. And it had something to do with Dr. Stratton too. But I can't find the info now. Can someone direct me to it?? Thanks Linda

Anyone acutually been to see either of these doctors. I have friend in Washington State with MSi [4] who is willing to travel to see them. How does she go about getting an appointment?

Walkaide Test Results [10]

Submitted by doglover on Tue, 2008-02-12 12:09.
  • Multiple Sclerosis [4]
Well it looks like good news. I had my appointment yesterday for the Walkaide device. It works but would work better if I didn't have so much stiffness in my foot. They like the setting of the device to be between 5 and 5.5 and mine was 9, which is quite a jolt though I barely felt it. So there is obvious nerve damage too. We'll know better after I do a few months of physical therapy. I'm guardedly optimstic. I'll keep everyone posted. Linda

BUMPER STICKER????????? [11]

Submitted by doglover on Mon, 2006-08-21 11:21.

What does everyone think about a bumper sticker that helps get the word out about this website and the protocol??

I want to have one made up for my car--something like:

GOT MSi [4], FM,CFSi [12],AR OR OTHER AILMENTS???

CHECK OUT WWW.CPNHELP.ORG [13]

Is this too corny or over the top?

I'm looking for any advice or suggestions anyone has.

Thanks Linda

Fourth Pulse [14]

  • Flagyl [15]

Well I finished my fourth pulse on flagyli [15].  Can't say everything went smoothly this time.

Was really weak on the first thru fourth day. Then on the fifth day was real achey and flu like.  Went to bed early, slept for 12 hours and felt fine the next day.

So compared to some peoples reactions it wasn't too bad.

I'll keep plugging away.  Can't believe it's been five months already!!

Finished second Flagyl pulse [16]

  • Flagyl [15]

Well I finished my second Flagyli [15] pulse Friday.  No side effects except slight nausea and a slight headache.

I feel guilty that I have so little reaction to this drug.  So many of you are totally miserable when you take it.

Hopefully it is working for me.  We'll know in a year's time.  I can't believe it's already been four months that I've been on the protocol.

When to start pulsing?? [17]

Submitted by doglover on Mon, 2006-04-03 18:59.
  • Flagyl [15]

I've noticed that some people started pulsing with flagyli [15] after only a month.  I was under the impression that you don't start the flagyl til you have been on doxyi [18] and zithi [19] for at least three months.

Is it okay for me to start the flagyl?  I have been on doxy and zith for two months now and am doing well.

finding a doctor [20]

Submitted by doglover on Thu, 2006-02-02 12:44.

How do I find a doctor to prescribe the necessary medicines??

I just tried to buy from Canada and they are no longer shipping to the USA.  Said the american officials are sending the drugs back to them.
