When to start pulsing??
By doglover

  • Flagyl

I've noticed that some people started pulsing with flagyli [1] after only a month.  I was under the impression that you don't start the flagyl til you have been on doxyi [2] and zithi [3] for at least three months.

Is it okay for me to start the flagyl?  I have been on doxy and zith for two months now and am doing well.

I started pulsing (500 mg Flagyli [1], 2x daily, three days) after 2 months total, 1 on Zithi [3] only, 1/2 on Zith/Doxyi [2], 1/2 on Zith/Doxy/NACi [6]. I did ok -- are you seeing any results at all yet? My BP improved, and I stopped getting worse, and had less brain fog. Still no endurance, though.

I have noticed little

Submitted by doglover on Mon, 2006-04-03 19:20.

I have noticed little things.  Like I can stand up straight a little longer before I have to sit.

My right leg isn't dragging as much.

I can get up from a sitting position a little easier.

I'm anxious, but I'm not to start the flagyli [1].  Anxious to be well, but not anxious to be sick from the flagyl.

I do also take almost all of the supplementsi [8], including 600 mg NACi [6] twice a day.

And when I fall I have an easier time getting up.

Just very little things but definitely improvements.

Doglover- The three month

Submitted by Jim K on Mon, 2006-04-03 22:14.

Doglover- The three month recommendation is obviously a general one. The key is whether your reactions to the combined abxi [9] have become minimal. When that's true you may wish to try a single dose of flagyli [1] and see how you respond. Every one is different. I'll be publishing the results of the survey soon, but one striking finding is that the majority report mild-moderate reactions to starting flagyl/tinii [10]. So don't be scared of it. Listen to how your body is responding so far.

On CAPi [4]'s protocol for Cpni [11] in CFSi [7]/FMSi [12] since December 2004.
Currently: 150mg INHi [13], Doxyi [2]/Zithi [3], Tini pulses

You sound ready to me.

Submitted by MacKintosh on Mon, 2006-04-03 22:18.

You sound ready to me.  ONLY if you're up on the supplementsi [8], though, as they play a HUGE part in the treatment.  And go slowly.  I had zero response to flagyli [1], and don't experience the depression or darkness some on the protocol have had.  Yet, each of us is different and the only way you'll know is to just do it.  Plan for a day or two when you can let everything go, in case you need to sleep through it, but chances are you'll function fairly well or better.  Keep a diary.  It will help you evaluate more rationally when not under the influence of the drug.  We don't allow Jim to tinker with the website at all when he's doing a pulse; he's learned his limitations! Smile Now, time to determine what yours are.  Go for it!  (And quoth Mary Poppins, coat the pill in jam first: you'll avoid the taste of the stuff, which is just the pits.)
