Nancy, You were right about TIMS. I was the one who stated my high school boyfriend's dad died of MS and someone challenged me. I responded quite confidently and was duly chastised for it. I find it ludicrous that a big strapping man, in his early sixties, who had deteriorated into a fetal ball of uncomprehending flesh, could be described as dying from lung failure. Multiple sclerosis caused his symptoms. He didn't die from his symptoms; he died from the CAUSE of his symptoms. The cause being MS.

Gotta be quick because I am doing this on DW’s computer while  he is out, still being without broadband myself.   

These sort of brouhahas crop up all over the place, especially on MSi [12] sites, if you mention death from MS.  Most recently it cropped up in the latest edition of New Pathways magazine, where my article was cropped out of all existence, partly because of a big apology that had to be made by the editor for a piece by Alasdair Coles, one of the Campath neuros, who had written in the previous edition something about life expectancy to which people took great exception.  Then a piece had to be put in about the same editor, long time MS sufferer but still fairly mobile. who had at the age of 60, had a flying lesson.   

Christina Wise-Mohr died at 59, being forced to retire a few years earlier.  Hardly a normal life expectancy in this day and age.  Whether the final cause of death was a pneumonia. a UTIi [15] or something else, the obituarist was very brave to say that she died from multiple sclerosis.  Also very correct..........Sarah

Sarah, I have known people who have written their own obits which I applaud.  Perhaps she did minus the date, location etc.  

Hm, gives me cause to consider of course my life is not of such record yet!

True Nancy, I am just considering what is ahead of me.  And that I certainly wouldn't want someone writing mine, sharing from their perspective, what to mention when I am 100+ years!   Hope you have something to look forward to over the long holiday weekend!

I just applied for life insurance on myself, because I fear Steve might outlive me and need to replace my income.  All things considered, except for the MSi [12], he's healthier.  Best case scenario---when we're done with the CAPi [2], we'll both be very healthy people with life insurance.
