Russ Farris the author of the Potbelly Syndrome has sent me an e-mail about this internet Citizen's research group he has just established and asked me to pass the message on to whoever might be able to contribute.   This is aimed mainly at older people's experience but researchers with useful knowledge regarding this subject will be most welcome.

Here is his message:

I'm still working on my book on aging, but last month I took some time to start a Yahoo group to discuss inflammatory diseasesi [1], including obesity, diabetes, heart diseasei [2], arthritis, and cancer. If you are interested, I'd like to have you join.
The group is intended to be a citizen-researcher group, but neither a support group nor a medical advice group. Here is what I hope to see:
  a. Reasonable questions about infectionsi [3], inflammatory diseases, and cortisol.
  b. Reasonable answers, with pointers to relevant research.
  c. Descriptions of individual experiences with supplementsi [4], medicines, and protocolsi [5].
The group is still small and there's not much traffic. You can monitor our discussions, or join, by clicking on http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/infection-cortisol/ [6] . If you know anyone who might be interested in this group, please forward this message to them.
