I don't know about local

I don't know about local retail establishments, I get mine online at iherb.com or vitacost.com.   Even from the UK and with added local taxes and the shipping costs it is half the price of anything I can obtain locally.

I don't find NACi to be

Submitted by Todybear on Fri, 2008-07-11 18:13.
I don't find NACi [4] to be very expensive in the grand scheme of things. It costs $25 for 100 600mg tablets. They would last longer for me, but my husband takes 1200 mg per day as well. Does it cost you more than that?

Puritan's Pride

Puritan's Pride (http://www.puritan.com [13]) currently shows it for $10.99 for 60 capsules of 600 mg strength.  They are known for their buy 1 get 2 free or buy 2 get 3 free promotions, so the price per bottle is less.

Lee, from what I have read

Submitted by Michele on Sat, 2008-07-12 05:45.
Lee, from what I have read about you it appears you are a resourceful bloke... You could try googling for NACi [4] powder which I believe is considerably cheaper than the capsule but you would have to decant it into capsules using one of those cap fillers [18].... a bit fiddly but very much cheaper.

Lee, NOW brand NACi 600 mg

Submitted by Louise on Tue, 2008-07-15 05:35.

Lee, NOW brand NACi [4] 600 mg caps - 250 Capsules local health store price $34.19 and

KAL brand NAC+ 600 mg tablets  30 tablets $9.95  more expensive but a well known older brand - 1932 start.

The cap filler solution would work for calcium ascorbate and calcium pyruvate and d-ribose powders.  I like that term fiddly Michele!  I learn so much about the Queen's English and Britspeak from reading your posts.
