My doctor has instructed me to take Transfer Factor to build up my immunei [1] system enough that it would subdue the CPNi [2]. Is this the case or are antibioticsi [3] imperative? Thanks for any feedback as I am new to all of this and quite overwhelmed! Creekside

Hello, Creekside and welcome to our world.  I see from your bio that you found us via another CFSi [4] support site.

Key words in your above question "....enough that it would subdue the CPNi [2]".... you don't want to subdue it you need to eradicate it because of the damage it can do to your body.  Antibioticsi [3] are imperative to eradicate all three life cycles of the CPN.

It does seem overwhelming but there is a wealth of information and supportive people on this site.  (it's a bit different than the other one, but I like it here Smile.)  You may wish to read the "Getting Started" tab.

Others will be along as well!

Blessings,

Jeanneroz

Unfortunately the nature of Cpni [2] means that the immunei [1] system does not see Cpn in two of its three life stages, therefore building up the immune system will not eradicate it.   Doctor are unused to dealing with bacteria which hide inside your cells, this is not normal behaviour for bacteria.

I don't know how familiar your doctor is with this treatment and it might be an idea to copy out the information for doctors here [9] and give it to her/him.
