Lee, I figure I've had it

Lee, I figure I've had it since age eight and obviously didn't know it, since it wasn't discovered to exist until recently. None of us knew we 'had it', though lots of knew we had something. You've asked a couple of questions about spreading it. Relax. You can't spread it except when you're in the midst of one of those lovely active respiratory infectionsi [7], coughing and spewing stuff. By the age of fifty, seventy percent of the population shows exposure to it! You aren't the lone carrier or source of infection and you're not responsible for the infection of everyone you've come in contact with who may already have it.
