Six months till Christmas, I celebrated by taking first flagyl!
By Todybear
Created 06/25/2008 - 6:54pm

I decided to take the plunge and popped my first flagyl. I feel nothing at this point but I doubt if I would with one dose. I will take another single tablet tomorrow and call it the boxing day dose. TTFN

Submitted by Todybear on Thu, 2008-06-26 09:33.

Andesine, I imagine that huge bottle of flagyli [5] that I got from the pharmacy will have to be used up and replaced by other huge bottles of flagyl before this is all done. I took a second dose just now; I find myself envisioning little purple  tin soldiers waging war against little ugly green blob men inside my cells. Kinda funny, but I have a vivid imagination.

The only things I feel

Submitted by Todybear on Thu, 2008-06-26 13:46.

The only things I feel stronger than normal is some strong tension, anxiety and the need to squeeze something. I have a stress ball around here somewhere. I feel jumpy and nervous. My feet are stinging a bit like I am standing on a sheet of cold aluminum.  I have lots of ideas of stuff I would like to do but my mind is wandering around too much to focus for long enough to get anything underway. So I guess I will just ride this out and see where it goes.

YAY TBa pulse!!  keep

Submitted by ruthless1 on Thu, 2008-06-26 18:46.

YAY TB

a pulse!!  keep taking the toxin & porphyriai [14] moppers to help along.  You could notice reactions up to 15 days after pulse.  In other words, take them all the time now that you are pulsing.  It can't hurt when we are expecting the unexpected.

Then, our reactions are less noticable.

Submitted by Todybear on Fri, 2008-06-27 10:40.
Bonnie, I hope we all get to laugh when this is all over. It's only through God's grace that we found this treatment as the Dr. wasn't offering us any hope; the closest thing to encouragement was offering a referral to the Wheelchair Association to get a wheelchair for free. NO THANKS! I think I am done for this pulse, I did two days at a minimum dose and it made me feel pretty lousy last night. I think I will wait three weeks and then kick the cat again. (Sorry Tigger and Maxi, it was metaphorically speaking.)

I wonder where the saying

Submitted by Todybear on Fri, 2008-06-27 11:46.
I wonder where the saying "having another kick at the cat" came from. I did a quick search on the internet to no avail. If my felines, Tigger and Maxi, can "shed" any light on the subject, I would imagine that it has something to do with finding them on the kitchen counter!

Wow Sarah, those definitions are way over the top of what I was referring to! The latter definition may have something to do with the kitchen counter lol, but I was thinking more along the line of a saying that described giving something another try. Maybe David's book will be more risque than normal considering the title.

Two days, one pill per day?

Submitted by Andesine on Fri, 2008-06-27 19:13.

Two days, one pill per day? I'm just going into day 3 on one a day and so far so good, as long as I can keep my eyes open. Drinking loads and Optrex eye drops seem to be helping with that though.

The only other thing I've noticed is a slight prodding pain in the middle of my left shoulder blade and I had a mad sneezing fit yesterday. Couldn't stop for quite a few minutes.
