Thanks Daisy. I've known this type of treatment existed but never knew what it was called. The difference between vertigo and dizziness and imbalance is very fuzzy. Steve's description of what happens is even fuzzier. Last week he was walking at work, heard someone walking behind him, turned his head, and blap! He went down immediately. The story of how Steve tackled the Christmas tree one year is similar---he just looked at it as he was walking by. I don't believe there is any feeling of dizziness that goes along with these falls; it's just immediate. Do you think it's possible that this maneuver could help?

Joyce, you might look up Tumarkin's phenomenon in regards to sudden falling from vestibular shifts. Still, infection can be behind it, but it's good to see what they have to say about it.

I think you can find more at the VEDA link in my previous post - or google search. I hope you do have a neurotologist who is familiar with chronic stealth infections. Not everything is from such, but a good doctor will keep that in mind if there is nothing structural.

Just saw the article in a news clip and thought I'd post as so many here seem to have a dizziness problems. Personally, I get bizarre dizziness for a few days in the spring and fall that I think are allergy related and wondered if this might help rather than loading myself up on Bonine and going to bed.

I don't know if this would help Steve but ... it probably wouldn't hurt. Since this is Dr. X's area of expertise - wonder what he thinks of this? I'd be curious to know.

Thanks Keebler. There's no doubt in my mind or in Dr. X's that's Steve's balance problem is due to chronic infections and elevated heavy metals. Dr. X is not only a neurotologist, he specializes in dizziness/imbalance and integrated sensory/movement disorders, also treats chronic inflammatory illnesses in general (especially autism), sports injuries, and he's our CAPi [2] prescriber. My questions to him about this and similar remedial maneuvers will be:

1. Is this effective for both dizziness and imbalance?

2. Is this effective for those whose problem is caused by infection? How about heavy metals?

3. If this works for Steve, why not just do it on a routine basis along with the antibiotic, antiviral, and chelation protocols?
