Well end of week 8 and this seems to be doing nothing for my brain. I'm still completely ditzy and yesterday Forumed when I should have Blogged.
Energy levels are odd. Some things I can do with great gusto, others have me puffing and panting like an old boiler. For example, Saturday evening I was running a gig in Bedford. It's at a club on the 3rd floor of a building and there's no lift. (3rd floor UK... 2nd floor US).
Parking in Bedford is almost non-existant these days so we found a space some way from the club. Just as we got out of the car it started to rain. No biggie in the greater scheme of things but as we had seen the rain cloud heading that way whilst driving up the motorway and, having seen the stair rods coming from it, we knew we were going to get drenched if we didn't get inside fast, so Harv charged off at high speed with me trying to keep up.
We made it just in time but I was shattered. Then there were the stairs. 4 flights of them. Luckily they've placed the bar right inside the door of the club so having just about made it, I downed 2 glasses of Coke and was then able to speak.
5 hours later, I had to go down to talk to the door staff. On the way back there were 3 somewhat drunk gents coming back in from having a cigarette, one of whom kept trying to chat me up. He'd already planted a wet kiss on my neck and I wasn't hanging around to see if he tried anything else. Stunned amazement all round, I actually ran up all 4 flights and arrived at the top still able to talk. Go figure. Adrenaline/fear is an amazing energy booster.
Other than that, in my forum post I noted the disappearance of hair from my armpits. What I didn't note was that I've also lost the tag warts that were permanently there. You know the sort, those little soft wiggly warts. They were a darn nuisance. Every time I shaved my pits they would bleed like crazy. They just dropped off!
I'd noticed that some had been getting much larger after I started CAPi [1], one was becoming quite annoying and I had been considering visiting the doctor to have it removed, but one morning it had gone. Then the others went too. Brilliant!
Head hair appears to be thicker.
My finger and toe nails are growing at a rate of knots unseen before. I've always had to wait ages but now I'm constantly cutting them. They are however incredibly dry and brittle, they snap very easily and my toe nails are prone to splitting which can be darn painful.
Major sun problems. I'm currently looking a bit like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. I only have to be out in the sun for a few minutes and exposed skin goes bright red and tingly.
Having completed 2 months of pill popping I'm running out. Contacted David for a new prescription and got the dreaded go ahead for the pulses... cautiously.
So, I'm going to start with 1 for a single day and see how that goes then slowly increase them until, hopefully, I'm on the 5 day pulse. This won't start immediately though. First I have to get the pills and second, I'm in the middle of a well paying job for a corporate client so I rather think I'll get that completed first. I don't think it'd go down too well if I crawled into the boardroom on hands and knees to do my presentation, hauled myself up on the back of a chair and then threw up over my notes.

Ella has just been to the
Ella has just been to the Isle of Wight music festival with a crowd of friends and although she has been on the protocol for two years plus, she ended up with a Rudolph nose. However this is an improvement on her first accidental overdose of sun when not only did her nose turn red but her hands as well.
I think this must be due to the amount of Cpni [9]/porphyriai [10] in the skin, and the number of pulses you have done... because I don't seem to have the same reaction any longer, and although I have been on the treatment for more or less the same amount of time, I have done double the number of pulses she has.
My skin tags have not yet fallen off and my warts are still lurking, but I live in hope that this will eventually rectify itself.

Yes, i still seem stuck with a bit of a red slightly itchy nose since my holiday in hot sun in April. I think one should be careful, huh? perhaps a bandage over the nose on holiday in the daytime when sun at its strongest, perhaps too drastic ..... any ideas?

Yup, hands are red as well.
Yup, hands are red as well. I've been slapping on very high factor sun cream but even that doesn't help. I'm thinking the only thing that will help with the nose problem is this [15].

Funny Andesine, although I'm a little worried that people might think CAPi [1] could make their Bits drop off! Elliott, ouch! [16]
As far as sunscreen goes, I'm wondering if you are reacting to some of the sunscreens. Many of us rosaceans have found that the Micronized Zinc formulations seem to cause less redness and irritation. There are several brands, Vanicream [17] is one:

Ella says that the funny thing is that her arms were just as exposed as her hands but only her hands have turned red and burned.
