I was going to post updates with my progress monthly but having being overwhelmed with trying to keep up with life and treatment, I am way behind.
Anyway, here I go. I started back in Jan'08 with big doses of CAPi [1] (3 abxi [2]) and after extremely severe die-off reactions and stopping a couple of times, I re-started nice and slow in Feb'08, adding 1 abxi [3] at the time, making small changes and ramping up.
Finally on full doses of current protocol - Rifampin 600 mg/day and Doxyi [4] 100 mg x 2/day - since mid-March.
I take probiotic very diligently 35 bln pill/day and haven't had any problems with stool. Which probably means that probiotic is working well. I had a stomach/digestive tract pain & heartburn initially for 3.5 mns that has gone away in last few wks completely. It could've been die-off too.
Being hypothyroid, I had to increase Synthroid dose twice by 12 mcg and right now I am feeling OK thyroid-wise though I haven't done yet new blood work to check TSH and Ts levels.
Improvements:
Fatigue/brain fog is gone by appr. 70%.
Muscle pain (have mainly in legs) gone by 60-70%.
Joint pain has improved much though hard to say by how much. Arthritis/tendonitis was my main complaint when I was starting CAP and still is. In the both legs I had pain in every big and medium joint, plantar fascitis and boats of tendonitis in legs, hands, shoulders, elbows bursitis. Now my left side is improved significantly, sometimes I don't feel any pain at all in left foot, hip and arm joints but my right side is still bothering me much, especially hip, foot & knee. Both hands have improved by 50%.
Ear blockage and shooting pain - gone 100% within 1st month on abx although my PCP originally diagnosed it due to ear wax. I never removed the wax.
Sinusitis improved by 40%. I still have a lot of post-nasal mucus especially in the morning but it's a clear type now, no yellow or gray in it. Sorry if TMI. If I press on the face in the areas of sinuses, on both sides of the nose, it's still painfull but slightly less.
Chronic mild cough is still there though improved by 30-40%. For all these months the improvement was very slow with cough.
Pelvic pain is better by 70%.
Dermatitis on r.eye lid - gone 100%.
I have almost no improvement:
Some weird pain that no drs could tell me what it is, it feel like a surface of the small bones is painful, mainly when I press on it or with movement. Also surrounding tissues and lymph nodes. Most of it I have in the breast bone and where ribs are getting attached to breast bone or at the end of ribs in the stomach area. On the ends of clavicular bones and lymph nodes there. In legs I have it in muscles next to the sheen bone by my right ankle and top of the foot. In hands - top of the palms and base of the fingers. Same character pain I experience in both breast, could be lymph nodes inside? I did breast u/s recently and mammogramm a year ago and it was normal.
Not a change in my cystitis, in fact it got worse 1 month ago just a little.
Hypertensioni [5] - no improvement.
I may have forgotten a symptom or 2, hopefully some symptoms are gone out of my life and my mind forever.
I sound very optimistic here but I know that I am not even close yet to being out of the woods. I just had an appt with my LLMD and he gave me a script fo Flagyli [6] 500 mg 2/day for 5 days. I am going to try only 250 mg/day, is it right approach?
I haven't been taking supps consistently and feel bad about it. I do yoga and my dr insists it's time to start weight lifting. He said I won't get out of my health issues if I don't weight-lift and be more strict about antiinflammatory diet He gave me printouts from the Lyme Solution book what foods to eat.
Thanks for reading and hope it helps to all newcomers in the future.

Absolutely! Like starting
Absolutely! Like starting all the other things, it's good to start gradual until you have an idea about how it will affect you. So first pulse of 250mg a day is a good test.

"Hypertensioni [5] - no improvement."
Azithromycin actually caused my hypertension. I didn't have high bp before I started the azi and the high bp started literally overnight with it. So even if you had high bp before you started the abxi [2] maybe the abxi [3] are keeping it up and you won't see improvement there until you're done and get off of all of them.

Nata, these improvements in [15]
Nata,
these improvements in just a short time are absolutely phenominal! I am so glad you backed off & started a more sensible pacing for protocol. You report has come along in a timely manner.
If you can you should have the support supplementsi [16] handy along with the toxin moppers for when you start pulsing. My first pulse of 1 pill, one day 250 mg gave me die off symptoms!
Keep up the good work.

I think you are right,
I think you are right, Sunni.
My hypertensioni [5] got aggravated with CAPi [1] at first and was really eratic at times for 1st few mns. But in the last month I've noticed that my BP is better and back to my pre-CAP levels except for the times when I feel die-off reactions which I still have every 2-3 wks. Hopefully your BP will go back to normal too.

Thanks, Lee. Every month I seem to experience some new aggravations in one organ system or another. Like if inflammationi [22] or perhaps die-off damage moves from one affected part of my body to another. This past month it's a urinary stuff. It feels like an overactive bladder - "got to go" all the time and a bit of pain. However, I haven't lost hope that it's a temporary crisis before it gets better. Crossing the fingers.
