Dr. Pauling says we should take at least 18,000 mg of vitamain C daily. I have heard that a long time ago before antibioticsi [1] they used to treat dieseases with high doses of vitamin C. up to 300,000 mg's a day. of course that kind of expensive but I take about 40,000 milligrams day with my antibiotic regiment and it helps a lot.  I recommend  taking as much as you can.

Hi Lee, I take up to 10 [8]

Hi Lee,

I take up to 10 grams a day which doesn't include the value in food (which isn't likely much these days)

I have been told you can take it to where you don't tolerate it well - i.e. change in stool to runny & get the runs, then back it off from there.  In larger doses you recommend, wouldn't that put some strain on the kidneys?

I use vitamin C powder. Its easier on the stomach. Super C22 is the best stuff. 2 teaspoons is equal to 8,000 milligrams. It has magnesium, MSM, and bioflavanoids as well. You can google Super C22 and youll find it. Its helps a lot.
