I am switching to the new protocol. I read where it says to check the titres for cpni [1] in the blood. My husband and I tested positive he for iggi [2] and igm me for just igm. I don't understand how you can use this as a guideline. I never test positive unless it is after a pulse. Dr. W also states that negative titres mean little. Any help here?

 I'm not sure exactly Lee,

I'm not sure exactly Lee, but I think Dr. Stratton is feeling a bit more confidence in the Mayo Clinic tests for Cpni [1], so he may be referring to titers with that reference point in mind. I also think that this would not apply to all cases, as David's comments about difficulties of measuring Cpn in MSi [9], even with samples of cerebrospinal fluid, still hold. Personally, I would trust my personal reactions, or lack of them, to the regimen antibioticsi [10] more than a titer. Believe me, if you can do a course of rifabutin with no reaction, you are cooked and done!

Lee, it would be

Lee, it would be interesting to know the titres, as to be able to compare. The last check I had was IgGi [2] 1:1024, DNA negative; before that IgG 1:256, DNA positive. I think (but it is only my idea) that when you kill enough Cpni [1], the fragments go around and (being antigens) they push your system to produce IgG. I would like also to compare the pulse length of others. Thanks. Nino: French Riviera, Cpn pneumonia june05 (misdiagnosed). Self diagnosed-treated. Sept.06 found doctor who confirmed Cpn, prescribed Zit 500mg every sec.day. I added NACi [6], supplementsi [7], metron.pulses, 200mg Doxi. Now Roxi instead of Zit.
