Big Day for Todybear!
By Todybear
Created 04/30/2008 - 5:40pm

I posted several weeks ago that I had gone to see my GP and that he said he would write me a prescription for whatever I wanted but he wanted to read the documentation that I had brought him first. He said that he would call once he had spent some time reading the information. My husband and I were so happy but after not hearing from him for three weeks we started to wonder if he was going to be onboard anymore. My daughter got sneaky and made an appointment with him for me for today and so I went in and saw him again. He asked me a lot of questions about my current health and checked on all my reflexes, sensations in different areas that are problematic as well as strength in these areas too. Guess what?! He wrote me a prescription for Doxyi [1], Zithromax and Flagyli [2] for a whole year! The paper is on the fridge with a sturdy fridge magnet waiting for me to truck off to the pharmacy on Friday. I have to go to court tomorrow (a lady hit my car in December and is trying to get off being responsible for it) so I won't start until the weekend. I am excited and nervous all balled up into one. So big day for Todybear.

Actually Louise, he said

Submitted by Todybear on Wed, 2008-04-30 22:27.

Actually Louise, he said that he had not had a chance to read the info that I had left for him but he did ask me questions and allowed me to explain what I could about the CAP. He wrote everything down including all my current symptoms and all the suppliments that I am taking. I think he was establishing a baseline for further reference with his exam.  I should also add that he had heard of this treatment before so he already had some knowledge of the CAP.

Supplementsi [4] & NACi [5], starting CAP soon.

Submitted by MacKintosh on Thu, 2008-05-01 02:18.
Todybear, Could you send your doctor's info to Michele privately, so she can add him to the list (name won't be posted publicly)? Maybe this will help someone else, too, down the road.

Congratulations Todybear!

Submitted by Reenie on Thu, 2008-05-01 14:49.

Congratulations Todybear!  I have an appt with my dermatologist tomorrow and am hoping I can convince him to do the same for me after watching me decline and improve for many years from conventional psoriatic and psoriatic arthritis treatments.

Right now, I'm in a skin flare which I think may be due to increasing my immunei [31] strength with the supplementsi [4] so it's a good time to see the dermatologist and hopefully catch him in an empathetic and open minded state.

Keep me in your thoughts and prayers for this appt tomorrow morning, will ya, please?  TIA Smile
