Few simple questions of newcomer - please help :)

  • Cpn and specific diseases

Hello everybody,

Since yesterday I know I am Cpni [1] positive. I have few simple questions:

1) I went to a doctor. He prescribed me 30 days treatment of combined Clarithromycinum and azithromycinum. Is right treatment to get rid of it completely?

2) If the answer for first question is negative - what kind of treatment is recomended for Cpn?

3) Should I expect that following symptoms will disapear after treatment?: muscle fatigue, respiratory issues, heavy work of heart, repeating infectionsi [2], short time memory losses?

4) What to do in order to not allow reinfection? If it goes from person to person like flu - what to do to protect myself after treatment?

I am 29 year old now. I think I have Cpn since 10 years - from that time I feel everything is less real, I do not have that much energy as before, I started to have troubles with breathing 3 years ago and I suffer repeated infections.

I will be very thankfull if any of You could share with me recomendations for treatment and most important is it possible to be 100% healthy again?

 Yours faithfully

L.

Answers: 1)  If you have [5]

Answers:

1)  If you have had Cpni [1] infection for 10 years, no, the 30 days won't do it.

2)  The best treatment is the one you will find in the handbook on this site or the one on David Wheldoni [6]'s site.

3)  If you've had Cpn long enough to have those symptoms, don't expect them to stay away for long after 30 days of treatment.

4)  After you have done the Vanderbilt/Wheldon CAPi [7], continued use of NACi [8] will be a good insurance against re-infection.

Best wishes,

Hello Mairj Go and read this [11]

Submitted by Andesine on Tue, 2008-04-22 20:58.

Hello Mairj

Go and read this page [12] which is the treatment information for the Wheldon Protocol. Start halfway down the page where it says A schedule of treatment then come back and ask any questions you may have.

30 days definitely won't do it.

Welcome to the forum though and there will be plenty of assistance here for you so don't panic if you don't understand a lot of the medical terms.

Thanks a lot for Your posts!

Submitted by mairj23 on Wed, 2008-04-23 01:35.

Thanks a lot for Your posts! God bless Internet :)

Sounds like I need to find a good doctor now willing to apply CAPi [7] on me! You know I was trying to convince many doctors 10 years ago that something is wrong with me but no one even thought it might be Cpni [1]!!!

I am practising sports 4-5 days in a week, I was able to graduate the University, find a good job and live normal life of person in my age and I thought all symptoms I have are because I am getting older!!! :)

I am frustrated that so obvious symptoms I have were not matched with Cpn by any doctor and now when I figured out on my own it is Cpn they do not know how to treat it!!!

Sounds like I was right 10 years ago that something went wrong with my health. Good to know it is not because of getting older - everything has it's reasons!

I am wondering myself how it was possible for me to play basketball at almost proffesional level being Cpn possitive. Probably I damaged my heart :(

I will go to another doctor now showing what you wrote about last treatment proposal! I keep You posted about my progress!

Your Doctor's reactions are

Submitted by Andesine on Wed, 2008-04-23 05:39.

Your Doctor's reactions are typical. When I was in my late teens I used to get strong palpitations and pains in my knees. I saw several Doctors, most diagnosed "growing pains", one asked me when was the last time it happened. I replied I was at a Disco so he told me to stop going to Discos.

My mother had underactive thyroid and was complaining of palpitations so I questioned her a bit more and a light came on. I trotted off to my new Doctor and asked to be tested for thyroid. He was reluctant but eventually agreed.

When I went back for the results he was leaping up and down with glee. "It's fantastic!" he said "You have a hyperactive thyroid which is really difficult to diagnose. I'm so pleased with myself that I managed to find it and the rest of the practice Doctors are really impressed."

Ummmmm excuse me? Who diagnosed it? Blooming cheek!

Since then it's all been downhill. Every time I see a Doctor I get told "it's your age you know". Undecided

Those Polish sites have

Submitted by mairj23 on Wed, 2008-04-23 06:44.

Those Polish sites have equivalent content as this site - I guess it was simply translated. I thought that it is typical only to eastern european doctors to have difficulties to diagnose something more complex than cold :)

I have made some research and found a doctor that seems to know enough to propose suitable treatment. Lets see.

First symptoms appeared to me 11 years ago but I remember that 9 years ago I had a treatment for helicobacter pylori and it improved my overall condition for long time (I guess 1 month antibiotic treatment sufficient against Cpni [1] as well). After that all mentiond health issues connected with throat, lungs, muscles, heart and brain are slowly increasing it's presence.

Let's see if right treatment is able to eliminate them or just stop progressing.

Thanks for Your help and fast reply!

Mairj-i live in finland but

Submitted by veressv on Wed, 2008-04-23 07:39.
Mairj-i live in finland but i am also from eastern EU (hungary). I have to tell you it is not western-easter doctor problem, but global. I cant find a doctor here in finland either. Furthermore hungarian doctors seemed to be even better to know about the idea that CPNi [1] can cause a long chronic infection (even if they have no idea how to deal with it). I find a doctor who would be oppened to it but barely find one who can actually understand it.

To be fair to the doctors,

Submitted by MacKintosh on Wed, 2008-04-23 11:33.

To be fair to the doctors, though, many have never heard of chlamydia pneumoniae, as the bacteria is 'newly' discovered and its complicated life stages are relatively unknown. If this means that we must be the means to educate more and more doctors, then so be it.

What I find impossible to accept is, when presented with fact and sound science, doctors who refuse to learn, or worse yet, who denigrate those of us who have troubled ourselves to learn!

Mac- I agree! I meant

Submitted by veressv on Wed, 2008-04-23 14:14.
Mac- I agree! I meant exactly this. I dont mind if a doctor isnt the best with CPNi [1] but the information we can provide (Wheldon, Stratton...etc.) is quite significant. The problem is that if they dont even want to make the effort to educate themselves a bit. I can understand things with my simple mind and i am not a doctor. They could understand it much quicker i guess! Am i right? :)))
