I thought I would post something about where things are at the moment. I began taking INHi [1] over two weeks ago. I haven't noticed anything dramatic but there are differences, though subtle. I don't know if it's my imagination or a genuine difference, but things are a little different. I stress a little. It might just be that I want things to be different so much that I'm making in different in my head.
In any case, I go on. I also started something else new just this week. Saturday, I cracked open my first shipment of Calcium Pyruvate and began to prime myself before taking my second dose of Rifampin each day which is also when I take INH for a given day. I decided to take it this morning as well, 45 minutes before I took the days first dose of Rifampin, which is also when I take my first dose of Azithromycin (MWF) and my daily dose of Doxycycline (200mg). I did notice that I felt a bit more "normal" when I began walking later in the morning, which may just be the additional energy from the Pyruvate and probably is.
Anyway, just thought I would put something down so that I have it in print to remember down the road.
all my best

I take 3 gms a day but don't have MS. I had a noticable increase in energy in the beginning. It went down & I increased my dose & then it got a little better.
In 2 weeks I will be back home & contending with the temperature difference. I will increase it at that time to help the transition.
Though, I might be killing more critters! That is good too.

Ruth, as well as the Pyruvate, do you take D-ribose and/or glucose for your energy. Or is the Pyruvate instead of these?

I'm not Ruth but I take Ribose. I started it about 2 months ago or so and haven't noticed any energy boost from it whatsoever. However, the Pyruvate does help.

I've never taken D-Ribose, but the Pyruvate is certainly effective for me. Glucose never did much for me but it helps Ella with the pain she gets in her arm. My choice would be pyruvate, especially as Paula is sensitive to glucose.

Michelle You touch on [21]
Michelle
You touch on something that had crossed my mind to bring up, so I'll use this opportunity to do so. My understanding is D-Ribose/Ribose is for energy production; however, the lingering question is whether it might provide some assistance with porphyriai [22] as glucose does. For that matter, whether Pyruvate might also help. Both are involved in supplementing the process leading to ATP, so I wonder if they might be alternative therapies to deal with Porphyrins.
Just one of those questions this lay person wonders...
