I thought I read on here somewhere about a doctor in Colorado who was treating people with ALS with IV antibioticsi [1]. And it had something to do with Dr. Stratton too. But I can't find the info now. Can someone direct me to it?? Thanks Linda

Here [4] is a thread that mentions something about the doctors in Colorado.   I don't think it provides any answers.

It may have been Dr. Martz,

Submitted by Jadis on Mon, 2008-03-31 22:14.

It may have been Dr. Martz, who himself had ALS and was treated as a lyme patient. He began treating MS and ALS patients as lyme with IV antibioticsi [1]. His practice was located in Colorado. However, I believe he has recently retired.

Houston, TX. RRMSi [8] since 12/05. Started antibiotics 12/06.

Current Regimen: 100 mg 3x/day minocycline, 600 mg 1x/day Azithromycin, 500 mg 3x/day NACi [10], slowly pulsing with Flagyli [7]

Just today I heard from a friend whose husband has ALS.  He was treated by Dr. Martz sometime last year.  According to my friend, Dr. Martz has retired for health issues un-related to ALS.

Possibly Dr. Harvey's office (William T. Harvey) can help you find someone in Colorado.  Dr. Harvey practices in Houston now, but apparently he was the doctor who actually treated Dr. Martz..

Is Dr. Harvey's practice

Submitted by Marysia on Mon, 2008-03-31 23:13.

Is Dr. Harvey's practice open in Texas now?  I'd heard that Drs. Martz and Harvey both retired to do research.

I'd like to ask my doctor to consult with him.

Thanks for any contact info anyone can share (perhaps via email).

Marysia, I PM'd you.  I can't find anything current on Dr. Harvey but may have found a phone number for you to at least try.  Even if he's not there anymore, if it's a good number - they might be able to help.

Submitted by Elinor on Tue, 2008-04-01 02:02.

Marysia there is someone on this board with the screen name Ladycoloradonow, she is a patient of Dr Harvey and she told me about the new clinic he was in the process of opening some months ago.  She doesn't seem to post now but if you find an old post you can send a PM and she'll get an email, she may be able to give you his current contact details.
