Wiggy, Sounds about 'normal' for us, though it's probably a disheartening time for you right now. Will your PT recommend anyone at the firm she's now at? She's the best judge of her co-workers. Happy eighth birthday, by the way! It's great to know you're going to have a better future with that little one now!

Its a little like a bereavement when a trusted health care professional moves out of ones circle. We know how long it took for you to find this person. I hope that you find another soon. Ella has always said that of all the professionals she has come across during her illness the PTs are the best, they seem to understand their patients much better than others.

The rest seems encouraging. The swollen feet are a bind, and it does seem to go on and on. I still have issues with swelling in the feet, but not as bad as it was before. The telling time will be in the summer for me. Its always worse then.

Mack, Just yesterday, my PT suggested I work with a co-worker if I want to continue working on gait or I can take a break. I told her I want my break to be this summer. My 8 year old is a huge help - she tells me its ok I can't walk as she likes to help me out :) Jim, I am hanging in and I agree handling the parties is a huge deal - my sister-in-law use to have this March party for me as I was too sick. I think I need to detox. Michele, I am with Ella as this PT was the best - I have never laughed so hard at therapy and enjoyed it so much. She would never let me skip - wanted me in there a day after holidays....She lives in my city and I will try to keep in touch with her as she will be missed. I told her maybe I can become a home bound patient but thank god this is not really an option for me. Her co-worker came out of same hospital in the UK, she tells me, close your eyes and you won't know the difference due to her accent. Wiggy, I hope you get the new PT you want. Don't sweat the visit with the doctor---things will go your way as they have done before now. I'm really happy for you that you have such improved energy these days. And Wiggy, to have a daughter like that is the best reflection of a loving mother. I wish I had one. Peace be with you.
