Charcoal and headaches...

Could taking the charcoal be causing me severe unrelenting headaches and difficulty sleeping?

Overall, depression is better with the changes i made. F/u with doc next Friday. Hoping for labs! Will probably start pulses.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions!

Lynn

Its unlikely, although I am no expert, charcoal is innert (does not interact actively with your body) .   Think of it as swallowing a sponge, it soaks things up but does not give anything out... In ERs they give it to people who have swallowed poisons and caustic substances to minimise damage....

Switch to yaeyama chlorella

Submitted by Arttile on Mon, 2008-02-25 14:26.

Switch to yaeyama chlorella and see if it makes a difference. Charcoal dehydrates and I find that dehydration triggers headaches in me that are bad enough to wake me up.
