By Lynn
Created 11/21/2007 - 3:11am

I heard that some of you may possibly be seeing my doc here in Memphis, so i thought i would check and see?? He's excellent, MD and toxicologist, treating me with CAPi [1]i [2].

If your in my neighborhood and would like to let me know, please do!  If you are trying to find a dr. and you're close enough to Memphis, I would highly recommend him. It may take a while to get in, but it's well worth it.

We do have another member who gets his prescritptions from this doctor.   He told us that he was rather expensive and did not accept insurance.   Let me know if your experience is different.

I see Merigian as well. He

I see Merigian as well. He does not take insurance. you pay out of your pocket and then his office will bill your insurance. The reimbursement will go to you. He is not on any insurance plan. so the reimbursable rate would be at a non PPO benefit.   He is worth every penny. If it was not for him, I would not be on the road to recovery.  My sister has mycoplasma, with reactive arthritis as its manifestation.  She has seen 2 rheumatoid docs. Neither one of them tested her for myco. It was my doc who told me to have her tested for myco.

Sharon:

Glad you responded. I feel the same way, he saved my life after seeing over 30 dr.'s.  He is worth every penny, where ever i have to scrape it from! I was sent to him for fibromyalgiai [4], he diagnosed me with IBD after 10 minutes and now is treating me for Cpni [3] and myco. After being so sick for 20+ years I actually have some hope that I may be normal again at some point.Surprised

Please ask him if it is okay

Submitted by Jim K on Thu, 2007-11-22 11:06.

Please ask him if it is okay that he is mentioned by name here on the website. We would be happy to leave his name in the post, but some doctors are understandably concerned to be so publically represented as practicing non-standard forms of care. So, Lynn or Sharon, could you contact him and ack if this is ok?

I'll ask him the next time I

I'll ask him the next time I see him.  He is known for thinking outside of the box. kindof funny, he is a naturalist at heart, but knows you can only treat CPNi [3] but with antibioticsi [17]..

He is a wonderful Doc!  We

Submitted by Senthia on Sun, 2007-11-25 05:02.

He is a wonderful Doc!  We found him aound 02-03 when my little girl was sick and we were trying to avoid any SSRI drugs.  Which we did, thanks to him.

I got sick Labor Day weekend of 06 when we were traveling.  I caught the worst case of strep I have ever had and I am also assuming this is when I also caught the mycoplasma.  I was treated as soon as we got back for the strep but besides the sore throat subsiding, I did not really feel much better.  I went back to the Dr. and they re treated me for strep (even though the test was neg.) and I felt a brief period of relief but as soon as I was off the antibioticsi [17], I was sick again.  Over the next year I begged my PCP, dentist and even my kids pediatrician for an antibiotic everytime I went in just to get a little relief from what I thought was a case of some kind of resistant strep.  I even tried to have my dog tested for strep.  Finally, in May of this year my PCP put me in the hospital and called in an infectious disease Dr. and and Ear, Nose & Throat specialist.  They ran a variety of tests that lasted over 5 days.  I was poked, prodded and made to feel that "possibly" these "symptoms" I was having were in my head.  All the tests came back normal except an almost doubled SED rate.  My white count remained elevated but they concluded that it was due to recent dental work.

I was dismissed from the hospital with Ativan and Prevacid.  The pain was so bad sometimes that it would make me sick to my stomach so instead of treating the cause....

One month later I returned to my Dr. and told him the Ativan only knocks me out and that I am not depressed nor do I have anxiety but I am SICK!  After AGAIN being told that we all "perceive pain differntly" and to "take my valium", I never went back.  I remembered how much this other Dr. had helped my daughter so much and called to get an appointment.  I had to wait over a month.  I still to this day try to think what I said different to him than the specialist in the hospital and my PCP but that day he sent me for the m. & c. pnemoniae test.  The next week I saw him and he said he knew what was wrong and that I had one of the highest numbers he had seen.  What a relief...FINALLY!

I am now on pulse therapy.  I feel so much better when I get to do the "2 weeks straight" but am really trying to follow what this Dr. says to a T.

I'm glad I found this site.  Your stories and suggestions give hope, encouragement & ideas.

Warmly,

Senthia
