Camellia for Odhilda

Camellia for Odhilda

One bloom on an Arum leaf. I always sniff to see if there is a scent, although I know that there won't be - they look as though they should be highly fragranced. This variety is called "Anticipation", a feeling that is common here about the Capi.

I had to leave that shrub behind when I moved house last year unfortunately, however I now have a h u g e garden and am looking forward to the time when I will be fit enough to do it justice. (Fingers crossed)

Nino playing the 'cave man' with his son Luigi in summer 2007 On vacation on an island near Sicily we found a cave with colored clay. What a fun! I think I am really recovering.

Hoya for Denise

My Hoya in the kitchen is soon going to have seven flowers like this one in the living room. I think they look like velvet and porcelain at the same time.

To melt your heart

To melt your heart

This little lady is 8 weeks old and is the latest addition to our extended family. Her name is Mair, pronounced my_urr (welsh for mary), she's a pedigree border collie. She arrived because Karen's cousin's much loved Samantha sadly died 2 weeks ago. We also loved Sam very much, so as soon as Mair was taken home, we had to go and see her and she is so cute. We spent the whole day with her yesterday in Llangollen.

Thanks to Michele for her big help in assisting non-techie me in doing this.

Chloe is my best pal in the whole world.  She makes my heart warm every single day even when she is less than well behaved.  She is a mix of demanding, funny and sweet -- probably like most of us!  The benefit to my immunei system and mental health are beyond measure.

Almost nine years ago to the day, Chloe was rescued extremely reluctantly.  She was quite a challenge and it took us two whole days in the hot August sun of 1998 to "trap" her in my backyard here in NYC.  That was right before I got so terribly ill.
