Cpnhelp.org - Chlamydia Pneumoniae Treatment

Afraid that the bookmarks got lost. I had to reinstall the new version of the module, and it appears the database is missing the old ones you might have stored. I'll see if this is recoverable.

I was just going to mention the bookmarks. It would be great if you could recover the bookmarks, otherwise no worries. I'll just have to read through the site again looking for the interesting pages. Probably worthwhile doing anyway.

it's a little cumbersome having to open up each persons response in a blog. I like being able to open a blog and see everyone's responses.

never mind. I figured out how to expand it so that i see all the responses..  Jim does CPNhelp need monetary contributions to support the upgrades, etc?

Oh, wow.... I hope you can recover the booksmarks as I had tons! (as I am sure others did as well)

Not sure if you know about this, but I've run across it several times already...

It looks like when you go outside cpnhelp.org and do a google on a subject, the link is broken when trying to link back to cpnhelp from some of the google search results and you get a "URL not found" message. Do a google on "chlamydia pneumoniae porphyria" and the second link comes up as follows:

Right click on the link above to open the link in a New Window and you will see the broken link. It tries to use the following:

http://www.cpnhelp.org/some_more_thoughts_on_por

While now with the upgrade, the newly formatted link is really:

http://www.cpnhelp.org/?q=some_more_thoughts_on_por

Note the extra "?q=" after the www.cpnhelp.org/...

Not sure if this will correct itself in google and other search engines over time, but for now, it might reduce people being directed to cpnhelp...

Good job though on the upgrade. Hickups are to be expected and we really appreciate all the hard work that went into this!

Yes, Google will eventually re-scan the site and fix the URLs. However, other websites that linked to those URLs will not automatically fix themselves.

Thanks Norman! I kind of figured the search sites might be able to "self heal"...

forget about the old bookmarks as from what Red has pointed out they won't work anyway. The new bookmarks module is excellent btw. Thanks for the upgrade!

I think the signature is showing up in the right places now.

Whether bookmarks are recoverable will have to wait until next week when I communicate with the database guy. We can hope...

It would help if you don't repeat things already reported so this thread can keep a reasonably clean list for the developer.

Will the bookmarks that are internal to CPNhelp site be able to be recovered?   I did not have any from outside sources.   Guess I should have ard copied so many posts that may be lost to me .

Jim, I cannot handily see all post replies to blog posts, without clicking on each one individually, which is alot harder for me.

The whole area of topic boxes at the top of each page is missing.  There is no "forums" box, etc.  So no way to access a list of topics being discussed. 

I guess this is just a temporary blip.  Good luck with all this.

Another glitch -- Search box on top right isn't working well. 

When I input Iodoral-- only two or three old posts (from other years) came up to access.  I tried this with a few other subjects and same deal.

Before, I would get a multitude of posts to access.

Jim, thanks for all this work. Sorry to add to it with my vain question - when I did my last blog, I didn't see "new site" and it is gone. Any chance it will reappear?

Why is the default text size while typing a post microscopic? It seems to come out OK in the posted version but while typing I can barely read it.

Sorry Rica- It's gone! So is all the adjustments I made to the "newsite" not realizing it was meant to be a temporary "make sure everything works" site rather than running in parallel.

I'm not going to do any tweaking with this temporary theme, so if the text is too small try one of the others. The only one not configured is Tapestry, which is what we are heading for, but you'll lose a lot of features if you try to use it now.

When I click on my old posts my signature line shows up double.  It shows up only once in my new blog that I just created but anything previously.  Also, I noticed it shows like this on a few others' posts.

Would love to be able to switch themes, but alas that option seems to be missing from my preferences.

Bookmarks – Jim, can you please keep us posted on whether or not you will be  able to restore the bookmarks? 

 I know you are swamped…… it is a huge loss that  references we marked are now gone.  

Cannot post new Forum topic. The field for titles is actually a clickable field which brings me back to the main page. It looks right though...
