NAC test

Having tested negative for Cpni on a blood test, I've recently found out about the NACi test.  Does it still work the same for asthmai? How soon after taking the doses of NAC should I expect to see a reaction? Flu symptoms - anything else I should be looking for?

I really need to keep taking my asthma meds (I enjoy breathing) but will that interfere with the test?

Any advice or experiences (especially relating to asthma) would be really appreciated.

Hi Linda,

Disappointed no- one answered your query as i was interested in the answer too, being an Asthmai sufferer!

Excerpt from the handbook might help...

The NACi Test

One indirect indicator of chronic infection with this organism is the N-acetyl cysteine test. This relies on the ability of NAC to rupture the extracellular Elementary Body by opening up surface disulphide bonds in the organism’s geodesic coat, as described above. The EBi opens and perishes. The release of naked bacterial components causes local inflammatory symptoms. Because EBs are more numerous in primary respiratory infectionsi, the acellular load of EBs is likely to be highest around respiratory structures. In a positive NAC test the daily administration of 2.4 G of NAC will cause, after a few days, sinusitis-like symptoms, with watery mucous; also a cough productive of a clear, moderately viscous sputum. Systemic symptoms — 'NAC flu' — may also occur. If symptoms are severe, the dose of NAC may be cut down to 600mg and slowly built up as may be tolerated. Symptoms wane, sometimes quickly, after a few days if the chlamydial load is small; if the load is large they may continue for a month or more as the EBs are destroyed and their remains removed by the immunei system. As far as I am aware, NAC is unlikely to produce die-off reactions with any other genus.

We re pretty strong here, and you are one of us.  I take 2400  a day and have for years.  I seem to remember that I DID have "flu-like" reactions, but here I am still taking it.  My vote is to try it.  Maybe we will all learn something.  I think you will notice the beginning reactions within hours, but take it for at least a week to be certain.

3/9 Symptoms returning. Began 5 abxi protocol 5/9 Rifampin 600, Amox 1000, Doxyi 200, MWF Azith 250, flagyli 1000 daily. Began Sept 04 PPMSi EDSSi 6.7 Now good days EDSS 1 Mind, like parachute, work only when open. Charlie Chan  In for the duration.&am

Someone has indeed answered Linda’s query: you have; and a mighty fine job at that, I might add. If I were going to add anything to that myself, I’d say that this site is not about taking antibioticsi to cure MS, asthmai or any of the other many illnesses that Chlamydia pneumonia is alleged to cause. The protocol is designed to eradicate Chlamydia pneumonia. Hopefully, if one does that; whether asthma, arthritis or prostatitis etc., it will be cured.

As for the NACi test, I never really did get that NAC confirmation … that didn’t stop me proceeding with the treatment on an empirical basis.

Asthma is a respiratory illness. Chlamydia pneumonia is a respiratory pathogen. I think that the likelihood of Linda’s asthma being caused by CPni infection is high. It is my guess or hunch that a CPn infection of the lungs is going to be easier to clear and eradicate than a CPn infection that has gotten into the brain, the synovial joints or has colonised vast tracts of the venous system.

Good luck.

Thanks for the responses. Supaguy, I'm trying the NACi test as I'm still trying to find a GP who will prescibe the antibioticsi for me and I'm hoping as the blood tests came back negative this might sway him. I'm not keen to just buy them online as customs can be pretty strict here (Australia) and I'm concerned as to what might happen if my parcel gets opened. They say they open 1 in 3 packages and I can't afford fines.

I started taking NAC yesterday and so far I'm a bit more wheezy than normal but no other symptoms. Will see what happens...

Thanks for the support

I have extreme 24 hour a day asthmai when not on antibioticsi. Naci never gave me a bad reaction but 1 years of combined ab nearly asthma fully. In my case nac did nothing to indicate infection,,

My asthmai is gone... antibioticsi seem to have reduced it to very minimal levels... If I have exposure to perfumes I can feel it though... but as I avoid them i have no asthma... which is much better than when i could not breath if i missed 1 inhaler dose for an hour and could not breath....

I hope it stays away when i finish the antibiotics!

Started NACi Sept'14... 100mg Doxyi Dec'14...  Roxi 13Dec '14 Supplementsi...

If you're getting a bad reaction to the NACi, then its killing the Cpni. This indicates infection.
