My message turned into nonsense

I replied to breaking_down; the e-mail of my message had some words exchanged for meaningless script, making a nonsense of my message. This hasn't happened before. How can I avoid it in future?  Hopeful.

Not sure what the problem

Not sure what the problem is.   Was this a private messag? Did you paste it into the message box from a word document? Did you inadvertently press the little html button that appears in the box at the bottom of the message window?  Html may appear as gobbledigook, but your words would still be there, just surrounded by apparently meaningless words.

It may have had to do with

It may have had to do with the recent upgrade. The site went down the other night and few minor things happened to my private messages. One just disappeared before I even read it. Perhaps Hopeful got caught in the vortex.
