Hi

It's my understanding that unless you're already following treatment that the odds are that any convention  IgGi, or IgM test will come back negative and unreliable.  This is why Dr. Wheldon came up with the NACi test, which is an empirical test only.  You begin taking NAC at 600mg per day and see whether or not you get a reaction from it.  The reaction is typically called "NAC Flu" because you get runny nose symptoms from it if you're positive.

In my case, I took 1200mg/day, which was crazy but I wanted no doubts about it.  On day 1, I didn't notice any difference, day two I noticed feeling more off banlance the usual in the morning, but on day 3, I had to hold onto everything in reach whenever I would try to stand and walk.

The one thing I learned recently from my doctor is that this sort of response might be due to other things rather than Cpni.  I don't know what other things, but he wasn't convinced of it as a diagnostic test.

So, it's up to you what you want to do, but the empirical test is something you can do more immediately.

best, John
