I went to see my primary care doc for a routine exam and to have blood taken for Dr Sriram. (he wanted to check my vitamin di) While he took blood while I was there a few weeks ago he needed more info. Anyway, back to this Tetanus shoot. I was given one because it has been over 10yrs since my last one. Ok, no biggie right…. WRONG!!!!!!! I never in a million years expected to feel like I was run over by a garbage truck---SEVERAL TIMES!!!!! My arms felt like they were just hanging off of my shoulders with no apparent use. My left hand is typically weaker than my right so I just dealt with it. I was clearly in pain from the site and unable to raise it. Ken watched me struggle with my fork and knife at dinner and had to ask him to cut my food for me. He put two and two together and came up with inflammationi. He gave me a couple of ibuprofen and I started to regain the use of my hands. I felt like I was on the pulse from hell – despite being off-pulse. My new primary care doc was VERY interested in my therapy and was amazed that I hadn’t been on the usual N’TCRAB’s ms therapies. Ken had updated the notebook and I will pass along a copy. At vaccineinformation.org, the tetanus vaccine information recommended checking out the pertussis vaccine information for people with serious illnesses (like MSi), because there is a pertussis component in the tetanus shot. The pertussis vaccine information had this to say:
“A person with a recognized, possible, or potential neurologic condition should delay receiving DTaP or Tdap vaccine until the condition is evaluated, treated, and/or stabilized. Although DTaP vaccine does not cause neurological disorders, receiving the vaccine can cause an already-present underlying condition to show itself.”
I had a tetanus shot when Rosie (my cat) raked my arm with her back claws. That would have been in 1994 I think and it was afterwards that my health seemed to go down hill. MS revealing itself?

Last fall when the neighbour Great Pyrenes just about took my entire upper lip off; I had a tetanus! It really hurt & hit me a tonne tooo, all my muscles on both my shoulders & neck were in revolt! My arm felt like it was just hanging there as well.

I had the Hep B vacinations
I had the Hep B vacinations in the early 1990's. It is a series of three injections. After getting ill after the first one (coincidence?) the same occurence happened after the second. I insisted on a lab test to see if I had sero converted and I had. I never took the third injection because of this documentation and I was not going to risk getting ill the third time around. However, with this event I had a very dramatic shift in my chronic fatigue and have never felt as vital since this event.
My decision is that I am not going to take any more vacinations and have not since that Hep B series, I'll take my chances with viruses and work on my immunei system, IMHOi.
If I step on a rusty nail I will consider vacination but I've not stepped on one yet in my life. They can just write refused when they offer it to me, I will take the responsibility for my refusal.

Kim, thanks for posting this because it reminded me to check something out: I received the Tdap vaccine before my symtoms started to exponentially multiply - and there is no exageration here - and I've meant to check the exact date when I received that combo shot just to see how close together the vaccine and the presentation of additional, multiple symptoms occurred.
I am a firm believer that at least some vaccines - or something added to certain vaccines - can exacerbate an already poorly functioning immunei symptom - tipping it into a tailspin so-to-speak - and it appears as though that article is more confirmation of this belief.
