i've had the flu for a week.
Submitted by Rog777 on Wed, 2008-03-12 12:47. I've had a cold flu for over a week and I feel horrible. I think its turning into a sinus infection. Its time for my three day pulse though... Would this help my sinus infection or put me in my grave. Do most of you wait until you are all better before pulsing or just continue your capi as scheduled. I know you are not doctors, I'm just curious what you all have found in your experiences. Also what have you found in the past is best if you need an antibiotic for say a respiratory infection. Do you add it to the cap, stop the cap, or just increase one of the abxi already in the cap? Of course I will call my dr. on this, but he isn't really up on the latest cpni treatments.

If it is the flu you are
If it is the flu you are suffering from antibioticsi won't help because its a viral infection. The CAPi treats bacterial respiratory infectionsi such as chronic sinusitis and therefore you should not need any other antibiotics, Cpni is afterall primarily a respiratory infection.
Sinusitis is one of my complaints, and even after two years of antibiotics Rifampicin will make my sinuses ache, will make me sneeze and at times brings on a cough.

Here's a totally subjective
Here's a totally subjective take on your situation: if I had the flu, I sure wouldn't pulse. Fight one thing at a time. Your body can only do so much. As for sinusitis, I'd go to a doctor if it was truly a secondary infection due to the flu and see what the ent doc says about which antibioticsi are best.

If it really is the flu? I
If it really is the flu? I have that feeling lots & find it is difficult to determine if I have caught a virus or if it is actually die off symptoms. If it is the latter I boost up the remedies for releasing the toxins.
I too have the sinus issues from treatment & they really become apparent during pulse times.
Maybe, to be on the safe side, I think I might just hold off on the pulse, increase antioxidantsi to boost the immunei system.
Good luck
