How long can I pulse?

This is my first attempt to pulse beyond five days

I feel pretty good after seven days

Wondering how many of you have pulsed beyond five days and what made you end the pulse

Congrats on getting past 5

Congrats on getting past 5 days.

I am now up to 15 day pulses per the Vanderbilt CAPi, started out on five day pulses.

I went from 5 days to 7 to 11 to 15 over 8 pulses stopping when I felt I had had enough usually severe inflammationi stopped me  or once a foot infection.

I wanted to work up to 15 days to avoid resistance issues for associated bacteria such as H. pylorii.

I know some have reported going continuous on the Flagyli without ill effect but I think I remember reading somewhere that peripheral neuropathy can be an issue for long-term use.

Working up to 15 days wasn't easy and I couldn't have done it had I need it to be functional all the time. looks like your holding up well so I would continue until you get some warning signs.

Having got this far I don't feel the need to go any longer than 15 days as after two weeks I am definitely ready for a break from the toxic feelings it produces, & my family is ready for a break from the toxic me.

Good luck,  & let us know when you decide enough is enough.

I've taken flagyli as long as a month.  That's my personal limit.

I, too, will try to reply again.

Every day I take two 500 mg flagyli.  Six years ago I took my first pill and within an hour felt the worst ever in my whole life.  Now I don't even notice.  I believe when I pulsed that it was 54 or 57 five-day pulses.  The only reason we pulse is that we need to come up for air, so to speak.

The original was steady, daily flagyl, I think, but it can be horribly hard, though necessary, and so worthwhile.  But, as you are finding, it gets easier.

Hopefully this isn’t just the quiet before the storm, but you can pulse for as long as you feel able, but just remember that it won’t necessarily make things shorter.................... Sarah
