Hi, could I take amoxicilin with wheldon protocol?

Hi, I´m still on wheldon protocol, with roxi and doxyi and tinii, and my doctor gave me an amoxicillini with clavulanic acid. It is for inflammationi in my right ear, there were found streptococus agalactiae B and Enterococcus species. These germs makes me an inflammation of the ear canal and the middle ear, a big headache, dizziness, and I have found brain atrophy too. Brain atrophy is greater on the side of the sick ear.. It was found on MRI scan and CT scan. Also I had to go to a lumbar puncture, it was found CPNi in my cerebrospinal fluid, together with viruses VZV, Morbilli and Rubeolla but only in high IgGi. Please could I take amoxicillin with wheldon protocol? I take 300 mg roxi and 200 mg doxy daily with amoxicillin 1000mg-1000mg-1000mg daily, and NACi 2*1200 mg daily.

Identification of bacteria species

Hi Jade

I'm on the protocol since 2 years (Since July 16  intermittent). I improved a lot sine then and I hope it's because of the CAPi. However I still suffer from blocked ear, blocked sinuses and some dizziness.

i also tried amoxicillini (without clavulanic acid) once recently, 1000mg/d for 7 days  but I didn't see any improvement but I had some  side effects (but not a herx reaction), the most evident being was spots and smoothing on my tongue. Perhaps the dose was not high enough and it was without clavulanic acid.

I would be interested to know what diagnostic test they used to identify the bacteria in the ear you mentioned.

Many thanks and best wishes Olivia

Hi Olivia,I think that a dose

Hi Olivia,

I think that a dose of 1000 mg amoxicillini/day is a little. I also tried to take Amoxi with clavulanic acid at this dose for 17 days and no effect. Minimum recommended dose is 2000 mg per day and Amoxicillin with clavulanic acid is better. A higher dose of Amoxicillin is 3000 mg per day.

I was on a swab from ear and the doctor sent it to a laboratory for culture examination for bacteria and mycological cultivation. I do not know the exact name of the test.

If you feel dizzy certainly please go to the doctor to swab the ear. But you have to wait at least for a time from antibioticsi not to be a false negative result. I don´t know how much time is needed.

Take care and best wishes, jade

Hi JadeThank you very much

Hi Jade

Thank you very much for your answer.

I think I'll go to the doctor to make a swab test to find out what's there.

And after this course of intermittent I'll give amoxi together with clavulanic acid a try.

I hope it does something, it's really bothering to get this blocked ear and swollen eyelid again and again

Best regards Olivia

Amoxiclav

Olivia,

Amoxiclav worked for my ear/sinus troubles.

I had to take it for 30 days before it got better. I hope it'll help you. Keep us posted.

Take care.

Thank you very much MHW. Did

Thank you very much MHW. Did  you get ri of the infection in you ear/sinuses completely?

I really think I should try that, since the CAPi couldn't get rid of the infect so far in my ear/sinuses.

I just don't know how exactly to do it, shall I take a break from the other 3 antibioticsi, if i have to take it (amoxiclav) for 30 days (I'm on intermitten) or shall I combine it? That worrys me a little tough, since I had some bad side effects from a 7 days amoxi course and that was without the other 3...

does anyone has a suggestion for me?

best regards Olivia

Of course you can Jade:

Of course you can Jade: before NACi came along it was used to attack the elementary bodies........................Sarah

Thank you very much Sarah for

Thank you very much Sarah for your quick response to meSmile I´m very glad to see it. I just was not sure if I can take up to three grams of amoxicilin together with Wheldon protocol and also with 2400 mg NACi. I also taking other medicine isoprinosine 3g daily (3x 1000 mg) as antiviral treatment. I forgot to write it.  I try to keep a distance of at least one hour of other antibioticsi although it is very complicated to do all this in one day...

Thank you very much for your help

Well, to make it easier, you

Well, to make it easier, you could leave off NACi whilst taking amoxicillini, but I never used to bother with leaving an hour between atibiotics: I would take them all together.   You  do ned to leave two hours between antibioticsi and probiotics though, otherwise you are wasting your time taking probiotics, which will be wiped out by the antibiotics............................Sarah

Sarah, thank you very much

Sarah, thank you very much for your response, it is a good tip to use...I will take it that way, just as my stomach allows.Smile I have to take the antibioticsi and the antivirals with food. It is very funny in a night, there is no time for Activated Charcoal. Because the inflammationi< spread from the ear to my head, I will have a long time with amoxicillini probably. I very much appreciate all your tips on what to do.

Thank you very much for your help to me.
