factive antibiotic

Has anyone taken Factive?  I took it for a chronic sinus infection (infectionsi since 1990) and I remember feeling a lot better.  I only took it for a week though.  I looked it up and the website said it is good for c. pneu!  My doc keeps saying I don't have it but I cough constantly, feels like lump in throat (had pharygitis last spring), green stuff from throat, etc.  He said the pcri test is too pricey/involved.  I just got through with 3 weeks of 2 x a week IV vitamin C. (3 hours each!).  Very expensive.  Hope my insurance pays for some of it.  I had a little energy but am now feeling bad again.  Anyway, I would appreciate any info on Factive.  I don't think I can take it long term but maybe it would weaken the bacteria so Doxyi might work.

Sorry, I don't know

Sorry, I don't know anything about the factive ABXi, some knowledgeable person will come along to help you with that I'm sure.

Why are you looking to other ABXi than what the protocolsi recommend?

How are you doing with the NACi?

Lynn - I think Karl

Lynn - I think Karl mentions taking Factive for a brief period of time in his blog.  I don't think he had success with it but I can't say for sure.

my question would be which

my question would be which life cycle of CPNi does factive kill?    Lynn, take naci for about 4 wks, and ask doc for retest for CPN, if you really think CPN is at the root of all your problems.

This is what I found on

This is what I found on factive but it doesn't say which phase - I just remember that I felt good when I was done with it.  My doc keeps saying I don't have cpni but why do I still feel bad, chronic cough, infected phglem?, achy, lump in my throat, etc.  I am to be retested for ebvi and hhv-6 since I finished 4 iv c treatments.  I will suggest the pcri testing and hope he agrees.  I have been on naci 2 months now.  Also on the specific carb diet.  I'm only on 1200 mg a day of nac so I think I'll increase it to 3 a day and see how I feel.
