Day Two for Todybear

Day two on Doxyi. I am feeling fine, just felt really sleepy after I took the dose and my feet burned for a couple hours. A muscle in my calf keeps twitching like crazy, otherwise I feel the same as before I took it. I managed to babysit my grandson for four hours and make supper and do a bit of paperwork. I made a schedule for suppliments and abxi and meals. I doubt if I can adhere to that to the letter as we do have a pretty busy household. I guess the idea is to make sure that you keep the proper time between certain suppliments, food and Doxy at this stage.

Cool. You're clearheaded

Cool. You're clearheaded enough to organize yourself. You had energy enough to chase the grandson. You cooked! I'd say you're doing swimmingly.

In my world, doing that

In my world, doing that much is barely eeking by. I am a mother of an overachieving 16 year old who is always needing help and support with homework etc. My oldest has a newborn who is living with us and so there are the diapers and bottles and paraphanalia that goes with that. My husband is a full time Emergency Medical Responder Student right now as well as taking a course on weekends at a career college. I am the chief financial officer, chef,  laundress, purchasing department, councelor, taxi driver, nurse and personal assistant in our household. I hate this darn disease because my nickname used to be Tody Two Days as everything and anything took be only two days. Now my nickname should be Tody Two Months or even Tody Can't Do It. So you see why we have such hope that this treatment be effective for me. I am needed and want to be able to continue to be a blessing to my husband, my family and those around me. I don't care that I can't work outside the home anymore. I said goodbye to my career in administration a few years ago without a look back. I prefer to just care for my family and aging parents anyways. I appreciate all your comments for sure though. Just giving you a little look into my life and why I am here.

Mother, grandmother,

Mother, grandmother, daughter... The work never stops for people like you.  But maybe it is time you put some limits on what other's expect from you.   They won't know until you tell them.   Surely diappers (nappies over here) are something the parents of the baby should be doing...

It is important, especially as you progress with this treatment to give yourself time to rest and recuperate... Be sensible, not superwoman... in the end you will be able to do everything to choose to do, but in the meantime nurture yourself a bit, what use will you be to anyone if you are too sick to get out of bed...

I agree with your comments

I agree with your comments Michele you do have to tell others that you need time to rest and recouperate. My father rang me eight times the other day but I did not answer the phone. I new what he wanted ...a lift to hospital he was having a simple test ( no anaesthetic etc). He rang me later on..where were you....out I replied ( a little lie I know). It turned out that he did not want to take his car because it was near visiting time and he did not fancy having to find a parking space ( my step mum has a disabled parking badge .....). I told him off, reminded him that I was poorly and asked him not to use me as a taxi service.............unless he was really poorly or in an emergency. My husband and daughter ( she is 9) on the other hand only have to look at me to see how I am feeling. They have just gone off to the gym but left me to rest in peace and quiet.
