Cpn test evaluation help

Dear friends,

I am too glad to have found you and hope you can help me understand the evaluation of my test first.

I have been tested lately on chlamydia through the antigen method and found out the result is:

Cpni: IgG positive.... (index 2,76),  Limits should be 0.9-1,00, the lab also wrote a comment on the results saying: Anamn. titr. seropositive no signs of infection activity.

I am a bit speechless. How come everything is normal if my result of positivity is almost triple then the normal limit should be...?!

What do you think?

Thank you very much for your time

Lola

Lola, sometimes it is

Lola, sometimes it is helpful when a new user writes a blog about their subjective experience and symptoms.  So often people treat emperically based on symptoms and many find improvement so lab testingi can be confirmatory but also if negative can be falsely negative.  It is all about how the bacteria becomes a hidden resident within our cells.  So much so that for some people, even thought they are living with it, their lab reports are negative.

Since your lab testing is expressed in a different scale than used in my country I cannot even use my experience of myself to help you out.   Do you have the actual report in your possession?  Sometimes there are explainatory notes from the testing lab sent with the results to the doctor that are helpful in interperting them.

There is so much to learn here about the persistent bacterial disease conditions.  I found that I had to do a lot of reading here to get myself up to understanding about the bacteria and it's life form.   It does take time but worth the effort.  Check the getting started tab at the top of the page there is lots there to read.   Louise
