Confused on supplement schedule

In a recent post from LouLou she mentioned taking her abxi and then her supplementsi two hours later.  That's NOT how I do it!!!  In AM I take abxi with coffee, in about an hour I have my breakfast and take supps.  OR I may take them all together.  In the 4:00PM, I do the same thing; abx all together or maybe separated by about an hour (without food).  I have dinner around 6:00PM. I thought this as OK; at last that's how I understood it.  I just reviewed the handbook and didn't read that the two-hour separation between abx and supplementsi was required.  BTW, I do take the calcium and magnesium alone before bed.  Since changing from Flagh to Tinii, I have no problem taking abx or supplements

The reason I am very concerned is because I haven't had success with CAPi and have become much more disabled.  HELP.

Linda, It is so wonderful to hear that you are responding to treatment.  I do hope you will fill us in with some of the details in your blog space.  I could be an inspiration for some as I recall you had some rather discouraging times.

Why won't your doctor

Why won't your doctor prescribe rifampin?

What lab did the lyme testing? Mine was Igenex.

Finding doctors who will test and prescribe seems to be a major part of this endeaveour.

Just keep trying. I know and you, I'm sure, know as well. I think , in my own defense, it's worse when you're Canadian.

Keep doing this and continue to ask a lot of questions. You will get positive responses.

Now to regrow myelini!!!! That's what we're really trying to do.

diagnosed MSi Jan.2000 ,  chronic neurological lyme disease Nov.2002.

doxyi 100 mg. 1BID. roxyi.150 mg.? BIDi,adding rifampin soon, pulsed tinii. every 3 weeks, as of oct.17/08, rifampin, naltrexone (LDNi),NACi, nystatin, major wheldon supplemrnts daily,

My neurologist said "no, and

My neurologist said "no, and it's not negociable".  I was tested at Igenex.  The drs around this area are all in the same clinic -- they're not all in the same town but they're on the same clinic database.  I've gotten to the point that I don't know what to do.

It has been my understanding from the beginning that there should be two hours between abxi and supps.  If it will help, I am going to list my schedule again:  6 am, morning coffee and half the supps; two hours later, Rifampin 300mg and caffeine 200 (one pill); one hour after that with food Doxyi 100mg, Amoxycillin 500mg, Azithromycin 250mg if MWF.

Afternoon can be charcoal, though I don't need that every day any more (YAY!) or evening supps - makes clock watching easier for evening abxi.  We have food before we go to the barn for evening, but Rifampin, 600mg, is two hours after food or supps, whichever is later, followed an hour later by Doxy 100mg and Amoxycillin 500mg.  It is still a thrill to find NO flagyli in the bottle in the evening!

There is at least one reason why you haven't improved so far - maybe several.  We are all incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to do this "beyond experimental thing" at all.  Everyone should get something good from it.

Have you had your heavy metals checked, or babesia?  At the least, you could do the five abx protocol that I did for six months and got thoroughly slammed when I thought/hoped I was done.  Now that you know you have not gotten all that you should from what you have been doing, it will be very well worth your while to give it a good try.  You could do what you have done for six months more, or add Rifampin, which I think all of us should do in any case.  You really need to pay attention when you do Rifampin.  It can be inconvenient but can hit lots of bugs very hard.

Apparently this got posted

Apparently this got posted twice.  I have responses from a few others; it's interesting that there are different approaches. I going to make sure there are two hrs between abxi and supps.  I did this before but somehow I changed.  My dr wont prescribe rif.  I got checked for lyme but was negative -- that included babesia.  I need to do something -- my problem is finding drs who will test, prescribe, etc.

Igenex said the tests were negative.  Maybe I should get tested again.  I'm quite discouraged and don't have dr support to get additional (different) abxi.
