Chyamydia Pneumoniae - viral count 1:1024 is this contagious ?

I have been going around for years not feeling quite right - and now I found out I have this CP stuff.  Am I contagious?  My doc is giving me Doxycline.. 100 mg 2x aday.   I'm having a bit of stomach upset.    Also taking alot of other suppliments.. feeling a bit overwhelmed.  Is this way I get sick so easy and stay sick for so long?

Can mold contribute to this illness?

I'm glad I found this site.   thanks!

Welcome, qkcam Your doctor

Welcome, qkcam

Your doctor may be openminded and willing to help you with the rest of the protocol, but reading about this incredible adventure may be the very best thing you can do to understand about this bug that you have. An interesting statistic about it will set your mind somewhat at ease - apparently, by the time we as humans are 60, about 70% of us carry it. It manifests itself in many different ways, some of which probably have yet to be found. So enjoy this wonderful community of really neat people who know a lot and are increasing and sharing that knowledge daily.

qcam- Cpni ain't a virus, but was mistaken for one initially by biologists. Your count looks very high, but  you don't specify what it was: IG, IGM, IGAi, nor what the reference range was by the lab. Yes, it can indeed cause one to feel like crap for a very long time until it's treated. It will take time to absorb some of the information here--- focus on the Handbook. Welcome.

More than likely, your

More than likely, your reading is from a IgGi (if you been sick for sometime) which means it is chronic in nature. you've had this nasty bacteria sitting in your body for a long time causing havoc, damage and slowly taking over your body. my doc told me that the only time I was contagious was when I was initially infected. and to be honest, I'm not able to pinpoint when that was..some people have speculation on when they got infected..I've had it at least 10 years (if I go by symptoms). my daughter is 11 and in 12/07, tested negative for CPNi. so, I would almost have to agree with my doc.

Be sure to eat before you take the doxyi..

qkcam - When you say your

qkcam - When you say your stomach isn't tolerating doxyi well, it could be because you need to eat at least a little something with pills or it could be you're starting to feel the effect of chlamydia pneumoniae 'kill'. Many people here found they had that kind of reaction early on in treatment and it can be attributed to cpni infection settling in the digestive tract. When you kill the bug, it doesn't go quietly. Don't be overwhelmed. Having a diagnosis and a doctor willing to treat you are HUGE. Many here spent MONTHS just trying to confirm they had cpn or find a doctor to treat it. You're already past that hurdle. We'll help you with the rest.

thanks for the

thanks for the encouragement.. this is after going to docs for over 5 years complaining of fatigue and short of breath and going home with antidepressants.    When I finally asked a doc to test me for EBVi and it came back postive, I had one doc say.." oh everybody has that..it's no big deal."  and the other doc sent me to this specialist... who I wasn't sure about - the 1st visit was over 700dollars and he ran the CPni then along with heavy metals that came back postive and Herpes 6- not sure how that effects all this.   I wasn't sure what to make of him and now it looks like I can trust him after all- sometimes it's hard to know who to trust and who's got the snake oil.     so I appreciate your confirmation that I got on the right track after years of frustration.

ps- i'll be glad to have more energy to get back into my photography,  all i have energy for now is work to pay for my treatment.

welcome Cam, you are in the

welcome Cam,

you are in the right place.  When you have the energy & your brain is fogged, read up on the handbook, it is a cornucopia of information about this bacteria & the devastation it leaves in its wake.

When you take the NACi & the doxyi & get that "feel like crap" feeling, I have found it is usually the bacteria dying that causes it.  In fact, just this afternoon, took the doxy, bothered my stomach & flattened me for the afternoon.  Further to this it had me chilled which is a sign of porphyriai so I got out the glucose, gator aid & Emergen C for a full attack on the toxins & by evening now I am feeling better than I was.

Welcome to our site for MAD CAPpers!  Expect the unexpected; learn, learn learn.  Perhaps you can share some pictures.  I just got a Nikon D80, 2 flashes, 2 lenses VR...yup; I have to relearn from the "old" 35mm film pics!  I am hoping I have enough energy to go for short hikes out in the desert to take cactus blooming pics soon.

Welcome qkcam, Is qkcam =

Welcome qkcam,

Is qkcam = quickcam :D. All I can say is that you will be ok if you stick to the treatment that you are planing to do. All side effects from the drugs that you'll feel are because of the bacteria die off, since it contains powerfull endotoxinsi, which are released during the die off. It is terrible I've been through all this. But when it all ends the feeling is great. You build up slowly but more and more energy and the end its great, because you feel like before - normal. So believe you are safe now just stick to the treatment and the supplementsi are very important. I personally applied the Wheldon protocol.

And here is one of my photos for you:
