I have been going around for years not feeling quite right - and now I found out I have this CP stuff. Am I contagious? My doc is giving me Doxycline.. 100 mg 2x aday. I'm having a bit of stomach upset. Also taking alot of other suppliments.. feeling a bit overwhelmed. Is this way I get sick so easy and stay sick for so long?
Can mold contribute to this illness?
I'm glad I found this site. thanks!

Hi Q, Welcome. Cpni is a
Hi Q, Welcome. Cpni is a stealth infection an you don't get to know about it until you get to feel not quite right and gradually get ill with a variety of symptoms. Cpn is a bacterium which can be treated but by the time we have had it for a few years, the treatment takes time.
You don't say what your diagnosis is, cpn can cause all kinds of diseasesi. I'm not sure what your illness is so cannot say about the mould.

I've got Epstein Barr, my adrenals and hormones are out of wack and Chronic Fatigue. I tend to get sick easy and stay sick for a while.. also I get achy all over alot if I exert myself too much (and it doesn't take much anymore) It seems the last 6 years(I'm 40 now) have been a big progression down hill.
prior to this new doc.. most of them through up their arms and say I'm depressed.. which never explained the illness. at least now I have answers.
I'm amazed and overwhelmed at the antibiotic treatments. My doc have me some NADh and some D-Ribose to help with energy, it works good, maybe a bit too good as sometimes it's hard to sleep through the nite.
it's a bit overwhelming all this, plus I dont have alot of time to study
this site becasue I"m working 45 hours a week on a computer and I its not fun being in front of one on my day off. baby steps. thanks for being here.

qkcam -- I have another thread going in which I complain about the same thing. I keep getting sick and the least amount of effort makes me sick again. I guess our immunei systems are just too exhausted, overwhelmed, to fight off everyday germs. Also, I react very strongly to molds although the allergy tests say that I do not have a histamine reaction to them. I.E. our bodies are having an immune system reaction to them, identifying them as enemies.

I used various immunei
I used various immunei stimulators for years before the Cpni CAPi. I rarely need them now, and few really helped much (other than Vit C when getting a cold and NK stim when my count was low). Why? Because Cpn infects the immune cells (macrophages, white cells, etc) and bone marrow (which makes the immune cells) rendering your immune system inadequate. As I cleared my cells of Cpn, my immune system improved significantly. I rarely get viruses now (knock on virtual wood). It takes time to clear the bone marrow, but free circulating immune cells seem to improve more rapidly. The CAP will help this stuff a lot.

Wecome, QCam. I am on the combination antibiotic protocol. It has helpd me emensely. I understand about the depression label. It was the reason that I waited so long to find a doctor to take all the possible causes of fatigue into consideration prior to looking for treatment. I thought it could be many things in combination including aging. And what was found was CPni and eventually Borrelia burgdorferi (Bb). I am on the Wheldon Variation which is serving me very well. I am no longer "depressed - like". I continue to get stronger and clearer. Looking forward to more of your topic posts. Louise

Artile- I can only guess by looking at my increased resistance to colds in the family, but from the 6 month mark to about a year or so my resistance appeared to increase. I assume that I was getting at bone marrow Cpni. It was gradually occuring, of course, from the start, but most noticeable then.
In fact, one of the cautions in using a more aggressive CAPi protocol is that it can cause neutropenia (crashing white cell count) from mass apoptosisi of infected immunei cells. I know of one case where a man taking Rifamycin-- a very potent antichlamydial-- had to be hospitalized to protect from infection until his white count came back up.

Thanks Jim for that insight regarding possible neutropenia with agressive CAPi treatment. One more vote for moderation in my opinion.
