A Handle Resubmitted

On rereading last week's blog, I am amazed at what I wrote about flagyli and not taking it. Sometimes I guess I am not as "with-it" as I believe.

In May, Richard spoke to Dr. S., who put me on the usual: Doxyi, 200mg; Azithromycin, 250MWF; Rifampin, 600mg; flagyl, 1000: (these I had been on till I stopped everything on Jan 11, 2009); and then ADDED Amoxicillini 1000. I did this without fail for six months and then we called him again. But I was STILL reacting! Aaarrrgg!! He then left all abxi the same, with the exception of flagyl, which he replaced with caffeine pills.

Not so many miles to go

My six months of constant flagyli are over and I have survived it. Not only have I survived it, I have greatly benefitted from it.

Vitamin D improves cancer survival

Forgive me if this is already posted on the site. I've been out of town for awhile and haven't caught up on my reading yet. Cool<

Hello, I am new here

Hello, I am glad I found this amazing site (thank you, Ken). I just finished reading Kim's blog, and I am amazed and awed. Although I was on the Vanderbilt protocol for 3 years, I never noticed such amazing improvements--that could be because my disease is a bit milder?

My bladder does not function (I have been self-catheterizing 5 to 7 times a day for years), I have numbness and weakness in my hands and legs, balance problems, and, most of all, extreme problems with fatigue--8-9 hours of sleep every night plus two naps a day is about right for me.

Wow, now that I have put my symptoms down in black and white, my condition doesn't sound so mild! ;)

Brutal Illness

I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have been telling my story to every type specialist in the books until now. I'm praying my new docs are on the right track.

Vertigo and Vergeance

One of us asked me what I could do now that I am a "1" instead of a "2", or as I used to be, a "6.7". The answer would be so long that it would fill a good-sized book. Let me start with the fact that I can swat the pesky fly (just did) that has been flitting around (and no longer is). I could follow that with some of the everyday other pesky things like sinusitis, inflamed gums, varied skin problems, dry skin, mental fog, and, most monumental of all, my walking. Not only those, but I can take a deep breath without coughing. Most "normal" people take that for granted, but I was not able to do that for years and years. And I had a "catch in my chest" which prevented me from breathing much at all when it was happening.

Results from Vitamin D3 Test

I sent in a test at Lab Corp through the Life Extension blood tests. My results came back at 58.2. I have been taking 10,000 D3 for some time (I think at least 8 months) This is also with some light sun exposure from time to time.

This is quite an improvement from my starting test of 8 back in August of '05. At least I know that I am not overdoing it by taking the high amounts I have been. The test was only $32.00 with LEF membership. (And they have a great magazine.)

Vitamin D as Defensin

Searching Defensins for my information the following links surfaced.  Please excuse if these are here somewhere already, Red.    Louise< original link
