Hi everyone~
Here is my May update:

September update
Submitted by Timaca on Sat, 2009-09-26 18:58.JeanneRoz's post about switching out her antibiotic got me inspired to post an update.
I just got labs back, and see my doctors this coming week. I am quite excited, for my labs match my symptoms and health very well. My antibody titers for enteroviruses have dropped substantially....and that is due to the oxymatrine that I started in February. I have also felt the best in 6 years, so I know that is working.
I've had some "flares" that always end with a slight herpes outbreak on my lip. So, I am wondering if HSV1 isn't a systemic issue in me. I'll be asking the doctors about that, and interestingly enough, that antibody titer which had dropped substantially is also now as high as the lab measures (which corresponds to the flare and the outbreak).
July update
Submitted by Timaca on Sat, 2009-08-01 11:43.I've been on oxymatrine for 23 weeks for enterovirus, I'm also on acyclovir for various viruses and doxycycline for Cpni.
I had noticed in mid June some very painful foot spasms and leg cramps. These were new symptoms, and very debilitating, so they needed to be addressed. I did some research, and learned that a Magnesium (Mg) deficiency could cause such a problem. I started taking a supplement, and interestingly enough those symptoms went away (along with my restless legs and jumpy heart). Here's a couple of links:
June update
Submitted by Timaca on Tue, 2009-06-30 22:12.I rank my days (1-10 with a "1" being in bed and a 10 being back to normal--which for me was being very physically active). Most of my days have been around a 3 (meaning life is an effort) to a 4 (meaning I have some enthusiasm for life). In the month of June I had 18 days that had at least part of the day ranked as a "5". I could count on one hand the number of days in the last 5 1/2 years that were a "5" prior to this month. SO....significant improvement.
update
Submitted by Timaca on Sun, 2009-05-17 22:59.Hi all~ I thought I'd take a moment and post. As some of you know, I am battling several pathogens...mainly Cpni, HHV-6 and enterovirus at the moment. I am on only doxyi for the Cpn....since we have had to also battle other pathogens, and my doctor did not want to overload my system....and we wanted to only change one variable per unit of time so we could tell what was working or not.
update
Submitted by Timaca on Sat, 2009-02-07 14:16.Here's an update:
I am currently on acyclovir for various viruses and doxyi for Cpni (chlamydia pneumonia). January was my best month in the last year with regard to feeling a bit more enthusiasm about life and having a bit more energy. I rank my days on a scale of 1-10, and I had many more "4" days or parts of a day that were a "4". I am no where near well, but I do feel that headway is being made against some of the pathogens we are battling. A "4" is really about the highest I've gone so far (well, I've had a couple of "5" days, but those are rare indeed).
Wanting to start NAC
Submitted by Timaca on Sat, 2008-11-29 11:19.Hi everyone~
I am wishing to add NACi into my treatment of Cpni. I have been advised to take it slowly due to a substantial reaction I've had in the past to Bicillin LA. (I am currently on 100 mg doxyi twice a day for Cpn and 800 mg acyclovir for viral infectionsi).
I am planning on starting with 600 mg daily. I will wait for 2 weeks and see what happens. (My herx like reaction has always occured by day 14). If nothing happens, then I will likely go to 600 mg twice a day. Then, increase from there if needed.
update---3rd Cpn test result
Submitted by Timaca on Tue, 2008-11-11 22:06.Hi~
Thought I'd give an update and ask for whatever you wish to share with regard to feedback.
I'm battling various viruses and Cpni. Just got back some of my labs...HHV-6 IgGi antibody titer is still elevated (1:320). Cpn IgG came back as high as the lab measures at >=1:1024; IgA 1:128 (can someone explain the IgA antibody titer please?)
I've been on 100 mg doxyi twice a day since mid June. My first IgG Cpn antibody titer was 1:512; IgA was >=1:256. After about 4-6 weeks on the doxy, it dropped to 1:256 and 1:64. Now they are both elevated as stated above.
